Chapter 20 Article

Jennifer's POV

I decide to let Justyna sleep in after what happend last night. I get up the usual time at 5:00 am. I don't really have that much breakfast food in the fridge because I normally just have a kale smoothie. I better go shopping and get some food. I decide to just make Justyna and I both kale smoothies. We can always pick something up before we head to set.

Colin must have head me wake up because he comes into the kitchen just a little after me. "Where's Justyna?" Colin asks me. "I thought I would let her sleep in, I will go wake her up now," I say. I open the door slowly, so that I won't scare her. However, Justyna is already in the bathroom getting ready. "Morning," I say. "Hey Jen," she says. "When did you get up?" I ask. "Around 5:00 ish," She tells me. Justyna is so much like me. I can't believe I didn't know this before. "I made some kale smoothies for breakfast, if you don't like it we can pick up something before we head to set," I suggest. "I love kale smoothies. How did you know?" Another thing Justyna and I have in common. Justyna and I walk down the hall to the kitchen. "Good morning," Colin says to Justyna. "Morning," Justyna says tiredly. "We should get going because unlike you two, I need a real breakfast," Colin jokes. "Okay, I guess you will have to take the smoothie to go," I say.

Colin drives us in his car. I sit in the front with Colin and Justyna sits in the back. The same way as we did to go to the Italian kitchen. After a few minutes of silence Coin decides to turn on the radio. "So, Justyna what's your favourite song right now?" Colin asks. "Um, The words," Justyna says hesitate. "That song is great. Is Christina Perri your favourite singer?" He asks Justyna. "My favourite singer is actually Taylor Swift. She is so talented, I could never write songs like hers," Justyna says. "I guess you could call me pretty mainstream," she adds. Colin and I both laugh.

I really like this Justyna, Colin and I. Colin is my best friend and Justyna, well I think we are gonna be really good friends. Maybe even more like sisters. Sure I am almost double her age, but there is something special between us, and I just figured that out yesterday.

All my life I have always been on the outside. My parents were both teachers, so they were both sorta busy a lot. I have a great relationship with my mom though. My sister and my brother are a lot younger than me, and we were all always busy with extra curricular activities growing up. I got good grades in school and I became an actress at a very young age. I had great friends growing up too. I lived and still live a great life, but I feel out of place, like I don't belong. I am like an "ugly duckling."

My fans call themselves "ugly ducklings" because all of the roles I play are usually women who don't really belong. The truth is I think that those roles interest me because I am so alike to the characters. I don't really belong anywhere.

Colin's POV

I decide to stop off at Starbucks for breakfast because I know Jen needs a coffee. I order a coffee, a poppy seed bagel and Jen's usual drink. I ask Justyna if she wants anything, but she tells me that she is good with her smoothie.

We end up getting to set a little late, but it's okay because Jen and I aren't in the first scene. I go to my trailer to get ready, and Jen and Justyna go to Jen's trailer. Eddy drops off my scrip, and I head to hair and make up. I am just about to put the scrip down when someone taps me on the shoulder.

"Jen?" I ask thinking it is her, but when I turn around it is Justyna. "I need to talk to you," Justyna says panicked. "What's wrong?" I ask concerned. She hands me her phone. It is an article about Jen's boyfriend Jesse Spencer. The articles headline is: JESSE SPENCER SPOTTED WITH MYSTERY GIRL! The girl in the photo is not Jen. "Oh my god," I say. There is a photo of JESSE kissing this women. I check the date to make sure it isn't old. The date is right. If what I am seeing is true then Jesse is cheating on Jen. I knew there was something wrong about him.

"I have to tell Jen," I tell Justyna. "It's all over the Internet," she tells me. "Has Jen seen it?" I ask. "She hasn't been on her phone a lot, so I don't think so," she tells me. I need to be on set soon, so I guess I will have to talk to Jen after. "I will talk to Jen after I finish filming," I say to Justyna. "Sounds good." I give Justyna my phone number so that she can text me if she finds out anything els.

Justyna's POV

"Is he gonna tell Jen?" Jared asks me. I told Jared about the article first. He was the one that came up with the idea to tell Colin to tell Jen. At first I was a little bit scared because I thought Jen would get mad at Colin, but Jared assured me that she would believe him.

Jared has this fairytale that Jen and Colin will get together, but I don't know if it will happen the way Jared thinks it will. I really think we should just leave them alone to figure it out. They are really cute together though. It was really fun hanging out with them yesterday.

"Justyna come here," Jen says holding her phone. I think she wants to take a picture. Jared told me to keep Jen away from her phone. "Jen can I have your phone for a sec?" I ask. "Sure why?" She asks. "Um, I need to call my parents," I lie. "You can just use your phone," she says. I can tell she knows something is up. "My phone is dead," I lie again. As soon as I say that I regret it. I was just one my phone a second ago. "Oh okay here," she hands me her phone.

I decide to go outside of the trailer. When I open the door I almost run into Colin. He sees Jen's phone and nods. I decide to go to Jared's trailer while I wait for Colin to tell Jen. If Jen needs me she will text me. Then I realize that I have her phone. I guess she will have to use Colin's phone.

Jared and I go to Ginny's trailer for a meeting with the cast to tell them what's happening. Turns out everyone has seen the photo. Halfway through the meeting Jen's phone rings. I look to see who is calling her. "JESSY" "crap!" I yell. "What's wrong?" Lana asks. "Jesse is calling Jen," I explain. Lana grabs the phone from me and answers it. "Lana!" I yell again, but it's to late.
