Chapter 15 Custody

Colin's POV

I wake up to the bright sun shining into my hotel room window. I didn't like sleeping in my trailer so I decided to stay at a hotel. We are't filming until tomorrow, so I have the whole day off to do whatever I want. I haven't really seen that much of Vancouver since I am always filming. Maybe I could go see some tourist attractions, but I would have to go alone so that might be weird. Jen is still mad at me. She hasn't talked to me since she stormed out of my trailer. I overheard Jen and Ginny talking I think Jen went with Jesse to see her family. Jared is probably with them too. "Buzz, buzz!" I hear my phone vibrate on the coffee table.

"Hello?" I answer the phone. "Hey Colin," I hear Helen say in the phone. I haven't talked to her in so long, but I have been meaning to call her, so we can talk about what's gonna happen with Evan. "Hey Helen, I've been meaning to call you to talk about Evan," I say. "Oh that's funny because that's why I called."
"Helen if it's okay with you I think we should share custody?" I suggest. "Um, Colin I'am not gonna lie, but I called because I was gonna ask you if I could have full custody."
"Helen I'm sorry, but I would still like to see my son," I say now a little angry. I am not letting her have fun custody of Evan. A boy deserves to know and spend time with his farther. "Colin you are never around, when are you gonna be able to take care of Evan?" She asks me. "Helen he could move to Vancouver with me."
"I think we can both agree that having Evan go back and forth between houses is to hard."
"Helen-" she interrupts me. "The best thing for Evan is to have 1 home, so one of us should get full custody of him, and I believe that someone should be me," Helen says strongly. "Helen, I still believe that Evan needs his father. I am not gonna give you full custody. I'am sorry." I say. "Colin the last thing I want is to have an ugly custody battle, but I think that is our only option now."
"Well I guess It is. I will get my lawyer to contact yours," I say.

I cannot believe this is happening. I cannot loose my son. He deserves to spend time with me. I called my lawyer and he told me that the chances of me getting full custody of Evan are slim. He said that Helen most likely will be arguing that I am always in Vancouver, and there is evidence that I haven't been home in a long time. I need to prove that I can be a father, but how? Well first I need to buy a house or a apartment, and I think I should maybe get married. If I have a house and a wife maybe the judge will see that I have a stable lifestyle. However, I don't even have a girlfriend so, this could be a little hard. The ideal person I would "marry" would be Jen, But she is till mad at me. I really wish I could talk to her right now. I need her advice on this situation. I wish we were still friends.

Jennifer's POV

I pick up Justyna at her house, and I drive to the airport. I'am glad Justyna and I are I guess "friends". Inside the airport we met Lana and Emilie. "Hey guys!' I say. "Hey Jenny! how were your days off?" Lana asks me. "Great," I say. Jesse and I seem to be back on track. We are more in love than ever. "Jen? who is this pretty girl that looks like you?" Emilie asks. "Oh sorry, this is Justyna she's my cousin." I introduce Justyna. "Hey," Justyna says shyly. "Oh and, she is a Oncer," I add. "Wow, she looks just like you!" They both say in unison. "Really?" Justyna and I say also in unison. "If Justyna died her hair blond like yours, you guys would look exactly the same," Lana say jokingly. "Okay, common lets get going, or els we are gonna miss our flight," I say. "Where is Jesse?" Emilie says. "He is staying in L.A because he has to film," I say disappointed. Emilie and Lana share a stare. I know everyone doesn't really approve of me dating Jesse, but I am happy so that's all that matters right.
