The perks of being late

Hiccup's pov:
"Hey, guys... It's been 45 minutes, Astrid is probably sick, she isn't coming, we have to start class." Fishlegs tried to knock some sense into me.
"I'm gonna go check on her... I guess... maybe she got hurt or -" I started, but Snotlout cut me off.
"Oh my gods, hiccup!" Snotlout face palmed, "Just leave it alone! She obviously isn't coming today!" He finished.
"Whatever you say, but im still going to check on her." I glared at him, and then I left the academy and headed for Astrid's house.

Astrid's pov:
"Gods, I'm so late!" I finally got dressed and I was now sprinting out of my door when I bumped into someone.
"UGH! Watch where your going, I'm late for something!" I rubbed my head.
"I'm so sorry -" a familiar voice started, but I cut him off,
"Hiccup? Oh my gods I'm sorry! I woke up late and then I didn't know what to do so I was in such a rush and - and I didn't mean to run into you, I'm really sorry..." I helped him up.
"Yeah, it's okay... I was just gonna come see if you were ok, I thought you were hurt or something, then I ran into you, so...." He scratched the back of his head and flashed his dorky grin (which I adore) like he always did. Gods, why did he have to be so cute?!
"I'm sorry, Astr-" I cut him off, again,
But this time I didn't talk over him, I gave him a kiss.

Hiccup's pov:
I started to say I was sorry when out of no where, she kissed me. On the lips. Her hand cupped my cheek, and she deepened the kiss, which made me kiss back, loving every single second, i felt confident enough at the moment, so I ran my fingers through her hair, and she did the same to me.
We stopped kissing after what felt like forever (not complaining) but in reality was only like 5 minutes. But that's been our first real kiss. Sure, we've kissed a few other times but This kiss, oh... This kiss. Was perfect. So amazingly perfect.

Astrid's pov:
After we stopped kissing we just stood there, staring into eachother's eyes. His amazing, beautiful green eyes looked deep into my crystal blue eyes. "Your gorgeous..." Hiccup said out of no where. I blushed a deep pink. "Oh, Um I- I didn't uh... I uh, don't know where th-that came from, erm, uh -" hiccup blabbed, but I stopped him.
"No, it's okay... You know your adorable when you get nervous." I smirked.
That caused him to blush, hard.
But i still thought it was adorable.
"We, uh, should probably g-get back to class..." Hiccup scratched the back of his head again.
"Oh , uh, ya... I guess so..." I nervously giggled.
"Heh, ya..." He smiled dorkily. (Not a word😂)
And we walked back to class, and he held my hand.
