A reminder that any Remile story of mine will update on Thursday. It's not a guarantee that there will always be a oneshot every Thursday, but just know that it will be a Thursday when a Remile story updates.

Requested by theleadingman. (I am terribly sorry that this oneshot is almost 2 months late, I have no excuse other than a terrible case of Writer's Block... I am trying my best to push out requests)

Warnings: Unsympathetic friends (Remus and Janus)

"So, what's this about Remy?" Janus asked as he sat on the couch in between Remus and Emile. Remy's parents were sitting on opposite chairs beside the couch as Remy was trying to calm down from where they stood in front of them all.

"Maybe he got himself a boyfriend," Remus said. Remy winced at the misuse of pronouns and they took a deep breath.

"No, definitely not, babes." Remy rolled their eyes as they clutched a yellow, white, purple, and black pin in their hand. It was small enough so that it could fit in the palm of Remy's hand.

"Yeah, what on Earth were you thinking when you said that, Remus? He can barely keep talking to a boy for a day. Remember what happened last time?" Janus sighed frustratingly. Remy winced again.

"Oh, right... that did not end well..." Remus muttered.

"Anyways, I-I have something to tell you all," Remy said.

"What is it, Rem?" Emile spoke up, smiling gently, making Remy's heart speed up.

"I- um... I'm-" As soon as Remy was going to say it, they got cut off.

"We already know you're gay," Remus said.

"I... that wasn't..." Remy sighed, muttering while walking off to their room, "forget it..."

As Remy walked past Emile, Emile noticed that Remy was holding something in their hand. It looked like a button pin.

"He's acting lamer than usual..." Remus muttered and crossed his arms after a few minutes, "Welp, I guess I can go home now!"

Remus stood up, only to be stopped by Emile grabbing him by the arm.

"Remus," Emile started, "You are not going home until you and Janus apologize to Remy."

"What? Why!? We didn't do anything!" Remus shouted.

"You may as well hurt his feelings! You two didn't let him speak!" Emile yelled.

"Well, I'm sorry; it's just that he was taking so long to tell us what it was that I thought we would be here for hours!"

"That's one of your flaws... you're not patient," Emile muttered for only Remus to hear as he walked upstairs to see Remy. He knocked on the door softly, "Rem, you in there...?"

"Wh-Where else would I be, babes?" Remy's voice was quiet, but Emile still heard them.

"I dunno, I thought you would have ran off somewhere after that... can I come in?" Emile asked.

"Of course."

Emile opened the door and saw Remy sitting on their bed, huddled up in blankets with most of the lights turned off; the only light being the white fairy lights that they had gotten for their birthday. Remy's sunglasses were folded up on the bedside table while Remy's dark mocha brown eyes had tears slipping out of them. You could nearly mistake the coffee addict's eyes for being black at that moment because it was so dark in the room.

Emile softly closed the door behind him and walked towards Remy's bed, sitting on the edge so that he could still be close, but away from Remy.

"Are you okay, hun?" Emile softly asked.

Remy shook their head, "Not at all... I had s-something important to say and those assholes ruined it..."

"Remus and Janus are generally jerks, you and I both know that." Emile said, but then smiled a bit, "What was that important something that you wanted to tell us, anyway?"

Remy was silent for a moment that Emile thought they weren't going to say something. Remy opened their mouth and asked a silent question, "Promise not to laugh at me?"

"I promise." Emile smiled.

Remy held something out to Emile, "Here..."

Emile put his hand out and Remy dropped something in it. It was a button pin. But not just any other ordinary button pin...

It was designed to have the Non-Binary colors on it. Yellow, white, purple, and black...

"This looks like the Non-Binary flag..." Emile muttered.

"E-Exactly..." Remy looked away.

Then Emile pieced it all together, "Remy, are you...?"

"Mhm..." Remy nodded a bit.

Emile's eyes lit up and he grinned. He leaped forward and wrapped his arms around Remy, hugging him tightly.

"I'm so proud of you for figuring yourself out..." Emile whispered as he felt Remy slowly hug him back and more tears slip down their cheeks.

"Is- Is Remus still here...?" Remy questioned.

"I made him stay so he and Janus could apologize to you," Emile said.

"You didn't have to..."

"Yes, I did," Emile pulled away, much to Remy's dismay, "They didn't let you say what you had to say and they weren't patient, so I'm making them apologize."

Remy was silent for a few seconds, then they smiled, "You're adorable when you're mad."

Emile couldn't help but blush, "Sh-Shush, l-let's just go down there..."

"Wait, you forgot something," Remy said.

"Hm? Wh-" Emile got cut off when Remy pressed their lips against his. His eyes widened in shock and was about to kiss back when Remy pulled away.

"Sorry that was so sudden..." Remy muttered.

"It's fine." Emile smiled and pecked Remy's nose, "Now shall we go and make them apologize?"

Remy looked at Emile in slight surprise. They gave Emile a small smile and picked their sunglasses up, putting them on, "Of course, babes."
