Remy was watching tv in the dimmed room. He waited for Emile to return home from work. He looked up at the time on the clock above the tv.

'It's almost eight... where is he?' Remy's heart wrenched and ached in worry. He put the remote down and he waited.

Then he heard the door open. He perked up and looked at the door. He saw Emile putting his coat on the hanger. Emile had his head down, which made Remy worried.

"Emile...?" Remy muttered and stood up. He walked over to his boyfriend. "What's wrong?"

"What if I can't help them, Remy?" Emile mumbled and looked up at Remy. "What if I can't solve their problems...?"

Emile's eyes watered and he started crying. Remy slowly hugged Emile. Emile softly cried and held onto Remy as he buried his head in Remy's chest.

"It's okay, baby. Take deep breaths. It'll be alright..." Remy muttered to Emile. "You can solve anything, you just need to believe in yourself."

Emile nodded slowly. Remy looked at the time. It was seven fifty-eight. Remy smiled and picked Emile up. Emile cuddled close to Remy's chest. Remy put Emile down on the couch and picked the remote up. He turned the channel to Cartoon Network and waited until eight.

Emile made grabby hands toward Remy. Remy smiled and sat down next to Emile. He picked Emile up and put him in his lap. Emile nuzzled close to Remy's chest.

Remy watched the tv get rid of the ads and that's when Emile's favorite cartoon played their theme song. Emile perked up and watched the tv play the Steven Universe theme song.

Emile sniffled a bit and watched in a trance. Remy chuckled and kissed Emile's forehead.

"I love you, Emi," Remy said. Emile blinked away his tears and looked at Remy. He smiled a bit.

"I love you too," Emile said and kissed Remy. He turned his attention back to the television.

Everything was peaceful. The only thing that made a sound was the tv and Emile's sniffles.

But at least Remy saw his boyfriend content, that's all that mattered to him.
