At the palace of King Adedoja, drummers are giving there best performance, as sounds keeps going on and on into the air. Dancers in there various groups takes turn and give there best dance steps, and every wonderful step is being praised by the crowd with a loud shout. It is a very happy moment.
Many has woken up very early in order to be able to get there before the festival starts, because they know that a large crowd will be present. Those that came late can only see a little more than the shadow of the occasion. Even the crippled make extra effort to be there, and for those that couldn't be there, they are sure that they will miss a lot.
The king, King Adedoja makes a grand entry into the crowd, the drummers give a change of beat to inform the crowd, then everyone on prostrate and greet the king with a loud, "Kabiyesi ooo". The king use his hand staff to give his approval, then everyone stood up. The king then gave a short speech and prayers to declare the celebration open.
Happiness was everywhere as the drummers throw more melodious beat into the air, and dancers start rolling in and out of the celebration again. Many invited guest began joining the events one after the other and honour was given to them.
When time came for the king to check the harvest for the year, many of the villagers began bringing in there product in different kinds. The hunters were the first to began showing off there hunts and about twelve hunters brought in the best of there hunts, after carefully checking every of the animals, Odedayo was selected as the best hunter for the year. He was very happy since that means, he will be the one to sell meat to the palace through out the year and also many will be going to him, hoping to get the best meat during the year. Everyone was happy for him and drummers gives beat into the air again.
