"Do you think Sirius Black will come back to the castle?" Daisy asks quietly as her and Harry lay on his bed. Just a few nights before all of gryffindor tower was evacuated for a search for the ominous serial killer.

"No." Harry sighs "he will know Dumbledore is on high alert now."

It's quiet for a moment before daisy speaks up again "do you really think he betrayed our parents?"

"He's the reason their dead." Harry exclaims confused as to why she would even ask that.

"Yeah but-"

"No Daisy! Merlin, for once just see people how they are. He's bad." Harry says and Daisy can tell he is growing frustrated with her. "Have you talked to Malfoy?" He says with malice.

"No... no I've been avoiding him since the whole Hagrid thing." Daisy says but Harry gives her a look that shows he doesn't believe her "I mean I've seen him like in passing but haven't hung out with him." Harry gives another look "well if you already know the answer than why ask?" She crosses her arms.

"Because I want to know if he told you what he's done." Harry says and Daisy's eyebrows furrow in interest "because of him Moaning about buckbeak... buckbeak has been sentenced to death. Next week. Ron, Hermione, and I are going to go be with Hagrid."

"I want to come." Daisy says on the verge of tears thinking of the poor animal.

"No." Harry says quickly "you don't need to watch that."

"Harry-"

"I already said no!" Harry exclaims.

"You aren't in charge of me!" Daisy argues.

"Yes I am! I'm older!" Harry fires back.

"And far less mature." Daisy points out.

Harry scoffs "says who?"

"Literally everyone in the castle." Daisy deadpans.

"You aren't going." Harry says over this conversation "Daisy they are going to kill Buckbeak. You don't want to watch it."

"You always leave me out." Daisy crosses her arms.

Harry sighs feeling guilty as he knows he does keep a lot from her, "this isn't me leaving you out. Promise. This isn't some stupid game or something Ron, Hermione, and I are trying to solve. I know you won't be able to handle seeing Buckbeak get killed because you care... a lot."

Daisy is quiet for a moment, "I want to do something to help Hagrid... maybe if I talk to Draco he can talk his father down."

"It's already gone to the ministry Dais. It's too late." Harry says sadly.

Daisy's face contorts and her eyebrows furrow, "I feel bad."

"Why?" Harry asks softly and he can tell she is fighting back the tears.

"Because if I had said something to Draco sooner then maybe-"

"It isn't your fault." Harry cuts her off "it's Malfoys. You do not control him Daisy." Daisy just nods against Harry's pillow. "You shouldn't even be his friend. He's a right foul git."

Daisy, not feeling much like fighting right now manages a weak, "he's not." Harry rolls his eyes in exasperation.

"I need to go. I'm meeting Professor Lupin." Harry says getting off his bed.

"For what?" Daisy asks sitting up.

"Tutoring." Harry shrugs not wanting to get into it "I'll catch you at dinner." Daisy nods and follows out of the room soon after Harry. Daisy walks to the library hoping to get some homework done, however once she enters she sees the familiar black hair of her awkward friend. She sits beside him abruptly causing him to jump.
