"Of course Mother," I say.
"Lupins, would you mind leaving us for a bit," Mother says. Nymphadora and the ex-professor nod and disappear off to different paintings. "Why haven't you told her yet?" Mother asks distressed.
"I was going to!" I exclaim, then I point at Sirius, "I was about to but your numpty of a godson and his weasels came and followed us, telling Hermione that she was 'supposed' to be going with them to the Burrow." Actually, Weasley came first, but if you can blame Potter, you blame Potter.
Mother sighs, "Don't call Mr Potter a 'numpty'."
"Hermione calls him a 'plonker'," I say. "So I have to use numpty."
The two adults chuckle, "You must tell her soon Draco," Mother says.
"I think he should wait a teeny bit longer 'Cissa," Sirius says. "Let her settle in."
Mother nods in agreement, "But I want her to know before you return to Hogwarts and I mean at least a week before."
"Yes Mother," I nod. I leave Mother's quarters to let her chat with her ex-husband and then knock on Hermione's door.
"Come in," I hear her say.
I open the door then enter. The room as Mother said; is painted blue. However it also has a painting of the planet Venus on the left wall, a bathroom suite -as all bedrooms in the Manor do. The right wall has a wall-sized bookcase filled with books and an enchanted calendar, the case is painted red and gold- I have a similar one but it's painted green and silver. On the bed, where Hermione is currently lying down, there's a blanket with a picture of a majestic black pegasus.

"It's amazing!" she exclaims. "Draco come look at this canopy." I walk up to her bed then lie down and look up to the canopy. It had the pegasus constellation magically staring down at us.
"Wow!" I say surprised.
"Carry on watching," she says encouragingly. Suddenly, the image changes to the Draco constellation. Every few minutes it changes to different constellations. "It's beautiful," she sighs. "I could watch this all day."
"No one's going to stop you," I chuckle. "In fact, I think I'll stay here too."
Still lying at the edge of the bed, I curl up a bit and watch as the constellations change - Hermione does the same from the top of the bed.
After a short while of lying in silence, she yawns, "Thank you for inviting me, Draco."
"You're welcome," I reply with a smile. Suddenly, I hear soft snoring. "She's fallen asleep," I chuckle to myself. "Well, Pegasus," I say with a smile. "I'll leave you be, sweet dreams." I get up and cast a heating charm in the room in case she gets cold then leave.
I head to my room but I'm interrupted by Luna. "Where's Hermione?" she asks mistily. "Father warned me that there's been a rise in girl-snatching Hufferins."
I raise my eyebrow but play along, "Don't worry Hermione has protection charms around her. She's asleep right now. She was watching the Black family constellation map. It's an heirloom you know?"
"Lots of things are heirlooms in this house," Luna points out.
"No but this is special," I insist. "It's passed on to the daughters of the House of Black. I learnt about it over the summer. You should see her room! When Hermione finds out her real name, she'll be laughing so hard."
"You hope."
I nod, "I hope."
