Hermione Pov

"It's all been leading up to this moment, Pegasus."

My eyes widen with shock as my picture finally forms on the tree.
"Draco this isn't funny!" I exclaim. "You can't just joke about this stuff. I trusted you with the information that I was adopted and here you are pulling this elaborate prank on me!"

Draco frowns, "Hermione, you're staying in our house for a few weeks but Mother decorated you an entire room designed for your needs. I didn't plan that; Mother did. Think rationally, Mya. You told me you were adopted well into the middle of the term, I told you I studied members of the Black family at the beginning of term and I did that in the summer before we made up for the past."
He points wildly at the map "I can't fake this Mya! I swear I'm telling you the truth. Mother told me in the summer that she had worked out that you were her daughter so I wasn't surprised that you were adopted but I was surprised that you knew! I didn't know about the abuse you received from your muggle parents but I do know your blood is purer than mine because Sirius and Mother were cousins as well as husband and wife. What do you think we discussed on the first day of term?"

"I... I"

Draco grabs hold of me and pulls me into a tight hug, "You are Pegasus Venus Black, your room says so, your clothes say so, even the Black family Constellation Mobile say so. You are the Brightest Witch of your age and Heroine to the Wizarding World. And I am Draco Lucius Malfoy, my home says so, my clothes say so and the Daily Prophet never stops saying so. I'm the Brightest Wizard of my age, an ex-deatheater, ex-elitist and Potter's rival. However, I am proud to call you sister if you'll accept me."

"I... need to go to the..." I stutter still in shock.
"Library?" Draco finishes. "You're already here and the proof is right in front of you. Please, Mya, accept this, if not for my sake, for Mother's. She had to let you go or the Dark Lord would have killed you for being the daughter of a Blood Traitor."
I pull myself out of his hold, "Please Dray, I need to think."
He ends solemnly, "I'm going to go tell Mother that I've told you. Please don't let her down."

Draco leaves the library closing the door softly behind him.

When I know he's left, tears finally escape my eyes. My real parents! I've found them! Well, more like they found me. Did Sirius know back in Third year? Did the Marauders know Sirius got married? Does Lucius Malfoy know he has a step-daughter? What will Harry and the Weasleys think?

I stare at my picture on the tree. It is definitely me. There's no doubt about it.

I leave the library and match to the East Wing. I knock on the door to Narcissa's bedroom. I hear Sirius's painting say "Come in."
I gently open the door, Sirius is the only one there. "Hermione, what a pleasant surprise."
"Draco told me the truth," I blurt out. "You're my father."
Sirius smiles happily, "The boy took his sweet time! I just found out at the beginning of term. Had I known when I was alive, I would have killed Harry for putting you in so much danger all the time, Godson or not. And I would have taken you with me that night Buckbeak and I left Hogwarts."

I chuckle, "I wish I could have spent more time with you. And that I could have taught you a better way to treat house-elves."

Sirius laughs heartily, "That would have taken a while, you can't teach an old dog new tricks. Lily used to tell me that all the time."
"Did they know you were married?" I ask. "The other Marauders."
"Lily did," he explains. "I told her if we ever had a child, she would be the godmother. Other than that, no they did not."
"So Harry's Mum was my Godmother and my Dad was Harry's Godfather. And neither of us met until we were 11."
"That's the strange world we live in."
Tears start falling again. "Please don't cry," he says. "It's alright. We don't have a time-turner so can't change the past, even if we did, that dangerous even for a Gryffindor. Just tell me your real name. Draco refused to."
"Pegasus Venus Black," I announce clearly.
"Well then Pegasus, allow me to be the first dead relative to welcome you into the family."

I laugh and exaggerate a curtsy, "Why thank you, kind Father. I'll try my best to purify the House of Black from elitists and make them Muggle Lovers."

Sirius laughs, "You do that. Make me prouder than I already am to call you my daughter."
