Chapter 7

The door banged open and we all looked to fined Takeda,"You're all still in here? I'm so sorry I'm late I got stuck in a staff meeting." He walked over to Ukai and handed him some papers.

"I got the bracket for the preliminaries," he said and everyone was shocked.

"If our team and Date Tech both clear the first rounds we'll be up against them in round 2," Nishinoya said.

"We shouldn't get ahead of ourselves you guys," Tsukishima said as I looked at the paper

"Aoba Johsai is in are block this year and that's not good."

'I don't like those odds' the freak duo thought at the same time.

"Hey! Did you already just forget what I told you. If you focus on the top-"

"Yes we know sir" Daichi said cutting off Ukai.

"We'll stay focus...one game at a time"

~Time Skip~

"Hey Ukai I've noticed that you've been arriving at practice right when it starts is everything going okay with the shop?" I asked

"Yeah I've been picking crops so I have night shift now, but I want the boys to stay focus and not worry about anything else." He said

"If you say so."I shrugged.

After practice Daichi said he'll treat the team to meat buns

"THANKS DAICHI!" everyone said.

"Okay everyone eat up so we could all go home"

I was unwrapping it and took a bite of my meat bun and was staring off to the sky. I saw Tsukishima walking toward us and Tanaka gave him his beat bun. " Oy Tsukishima where's Yamaguchi?" I asked

"Oh, he said he has somewhere to go"

'He probably went to one of the neighborhood association guys, well no need to worry about him if someones watching him'

The next day I been seeing everybody workinghard even Tsukishima too. The preliminaries are just around the corner, Sugawara created hand signals for everybody to memorize. The peprally went by well with Daichi doing most of the talking. The week went by fast and soon it was just one more day until the preliminaries.

"Everyone gather up Shimizu got something to say"

All players quickly gather waiting patiently for the announcement.

"I'm not...all that good with words...of encouragement so..."

She halt her sentence and looked over to me," Isa, of you would"

"Leave it to me Kiyoko"

Both of us went to the second floor bleachers, leaving everyone on the bottom confused.

"One, two..."

In a second we let go of a cloth letting everyone see what's on it.

'Fly'

"!!!"

" I didn't know we even had that!" Sugawara said shocked.

" I found it while I was cleaning so me and Isa cleaned it up"

"Uoooooh, I'm fired up now!"Tanaka and Nishinoya said.

"Not yet..."

"Huh?"

"She's probably not done yet..."

Everyone looked up waiting for her next words and I gently patted her back she looked over to me and I mouthed,"You can do it" I said silently.
