Birthdays was always something Brooklyn Swan always looked forward too. She knew this year will be slow without Rosalie, Damon, and the love of her life Emmett there, but she has Alice, Jasper, and Edward. Edward has to act like things between him and Bella are good even though he doesn't want to continue acting. She heard her phone and answered it. "Hello."

"Happy birthday, beautiful."

"Thank you, handsome." Brooklyn said. "Anything new on you know who's mate."

"She will be coming next year."

"I can't wait for him to be happy again."

"Me too, babe."

Brooklyn heard her father and knew she had to go. "I'll talk to you after school."

School came a little fast, but Brooklyn could care less as she can get through the day and see Emmett afterwards. Hopefully. Edward called Emmett and told him about what Brooklyn would like to see.

Alice saw Brooklyn enjoying the party in her vision, but it goes blank after that like she couldn't continue the vision. She looked at Bella and wondered if this had something to do with her.

Brooklyn on the other hand felt different. She felt strong which confused her because everything seems fine. Jasper walked over to her. "Are you okay?"

"Something feels different." She tells him. "I don't know how to explain it."

"I'll stay with you till Alice comes back." Jasper offered making her nod. Jasper noticed that something different was happening, but he can't put his finger on it. He knew before the party started that he would have to go back through his notes with Damon and Rosalie. There has to be a reason.

Edward walked over. "I read up on the notes you did." He tells Jasper as Brooklyn looked at them. "She could be a witch of some kind."

"A witch?" Brooklyn asked. "Like Charmed or Harry Potter witches."

"No." Edward said chuckling. "This is real as those are tv personas."

Brooklyn nodded. "I'm off to class."

Brooklyn kept thinking about what Edward had said. Could I really be a witch? Emmett saw his mate and walked over to her. "Brooklyn?"

"Emmett." She said hugging him. "I'm so glad your here."

"I heard and I promise we will figure it out, but first you have presents from your parents that need to be open." He tells her making Brooklyn smile. "Let's go."

Brooklyn walked down after putting the dress on. Emmett look to see her. Damon tried not to laugh as they watched Brooklyn make and entrance. Bella glared as everyone stared at her sister. Brooklyn wasn't caring about the attention as she just wanted Emmett's. "Emmett?"

Emmett shook his head and smiled. "You look gorgeous."

Brooklyn smiled as Bella started opening her last gift from Esme and Carlisle. Brooklyn noticed how all the vampires froze and turned to see Bella had a paper cut. Everything happened in slow motion as Brooklyn was pushed into Rosalie as Emmett, Damon, and Carlisle tried to hold Jasper back.

Brooklyn looked at Bella and ran upstairs because if she stayed down there, she would have said somethings.

"Brooklyn?"

She walked over and hugged Emmett. "I'm sorry."

"Hey, this was Bella's fault."

Brooklyn nodded and laid down. Emmett laid beside her hoping things will be better.

Later that night, Brooklyn opened her presents. She stopped on one that held an envelope. "Emmett?"

Dear Brooklyn,

I'm am your great grandmother, Anya. I was the first swan to carry the violet eyes and now it's your turn. You were born special, my dear. You are known as the midnight witch. I expect your mate to protect you and help you learn more of who you truly are.

The Cullens stood shock after hearing the news. Brooklyn Swan was actually a witch and they knew they would have to help her learn more. Emmett held her as Brooklyn stared at the letter. Nothing was said as they all let the news sink in.
