(Wednesday, 8 AM)
Gaia, RDS, Machina, and Arc are on the roof of the palace, sharing some donuts. The pixie is also there taking little bites out of a donut hole.
Gaia: Hey.
RDS: Yeah?
Gaia: I think the Arc should tackle today's mission himself.
RDS: Huh? Why?
Gaia: You've been pretty tense for the last few days; like you're super worried about us.
RDS: *Sigh* I can't argue with that, because you're right. When you're the only immortal in a group of mortals, it feels like a duty.
Machina: We appreciate your diligence and care, but you need to relax once in a while, or you'll burn yourself out. Life in Ultora is supposed to be fun, not stressful.
Gaia: That's why I needed someone who would cope well with being in a fictional world. No earthling I analyzed was more affiliated with fantasy than you. The adults had a firm belief that fantasy is a falsehood, so I needed someone young...
RDS: And that's why I'm the only person from Former Earth who got to live in one.
Arc: I think you would benefit from a bit of time alone, bro.
RDS: What'll you all be up to?
Gaia: I'm trying to practice more nature element techniques. It's been so long I've forgotten almost everything about wielding it.
Arc: I'm gonna head to the skies with Beatrice and the dragons to find the Angeles key mentioned in the last chapter. Until we find it, the Lightning Emerald might as well not exist.
Machina: Techni is coming over to modify me. She's giving me an upgrade that'll let me fight.
RDS: So we're all feeling productive today! I have a feeling a lot's gonna get done this chapter.
Gaia: Go nuts, my exponent son. But-
RDS: Yeah, don't harm positive NPCs, don't wreck anything, be back by this time Thursday.
Gaia: Correct. And if you find any clues on Computara, tell me when you get back.
RDS: Alright then. Bye, "Mom"!
RDS leaves.
Arc: Better get going, more time I spend here is less time in the skies.
Arc morphs into Monday and takes off. The pixie stays with Gaia and Machina.
Gaia: What? Aren't you readers action lovers? You can follow the boys, I'm alright being alone for a while. Not much interesting either, just some offerings from the shrine, gardening... I like a quiet life.
Machina: I won't be doing anything interesting either. You'll likely see the thing in action eventually anyway.
{Once I'm done with Advent Exponent, I'll go back and write side chapters for the other characters. There'll also be a side story involving the Arc and two (or three) other side characters. In the game, it's a temporary path split.}

The pixie decides to follow RDS, who's leaned against a tree.
RDS: Hey, little buddy.
The pixie buzzes.
RDS: So you're following me, huh?
It attempts to hug him.
RDS: I appreciate the gesture, but you're tiny.
?: Hey. You're the Exponential, right?
