RDS and Techni are in their shared lab, RDS in his room.

RDS: It's finally over... Getting late though. I oughta go to bed.

After a shower, he changes into nightclothes, getting into bed.

RDS: Wow. 2020 sucked. But my year in Ultora? Rocked.

Techni knocks on the door.

Techni: Hey. Can I come in?

RDS: Sure.

Techni opens the door and enters the room, in pajama shirt and skirt.

RDS: So, uhhhh...what's up?

Techni begins to blush.

Techni: W-Well... I want to get some things off my chest; I feel calmer around you, I can trust you... you... make me feel something nobody else makes me feel.

RDS: Techni, I... agh i have no idea what to say im a social wreck uhhhh-

Techni giggles.

Techni: So that's your one weakness. Relationships. That's... really cute!

RDS heavily blushes.

RDS: C-Cute?

Techni: Yeah. It's endearing to see someone normally so confident being so... shy.

RDS: ... I've never had a girlfriend before. (Yeah, no crap, AGGGGGH-)

Techni: ... I barely had any friends at all, until I came to Ultora. Everyone was so kind, and I met you... someone also from Earth, also a gamer. We became fast friends, then best friends... Now I want you as more than a friend...

RDS: What... was your life like before?

Techni: W-Why do you ask?

RDS: I want to know what you've been through. If it's too painful to recall, you don't have to, but-

Techni: Don't bother finishing that sentence. It's time you learned... about my past.

Techni: My family lived in isolation, away from society; our technology was practically science fiction. Me, Automata, and our parents. We were a happy family, until Automata's consciousness was separated from her body after an accident. Our parents, unable to cure it, left our home in search of a solution...
They... never came back. I eventually made an android shell for her; she wasn't human anymore, but it would do. And then... CDS appeared.

RDS: I'm presuming you and Automata fought and lost against him, he put you two under contract, you got Exponent X somehow, and he brought you to Ultora?

Techni: Correct. The Exponential Booster was actually a prototype device I was working on. I used it to try and combat him. After he defeated us, he said 'An Exponential power multiplier... It's got potential.' Then I got Exponent X for real... And the rest is history.

RDS: You lost your parents and nearly lost your sister... that's rough.

Techni: Mhm. Do you... miss your family too?

RDS: Yeah... But they wouldn't want me grieving. So I won't. I'm gonna keep going.

Techni: Wow.
... So, about what I said earlier... this is also my first relationship.

RDS: Techni... you had a crush on me the whole time, didn't you?
