-Your Eyes are Lying to You-

A soft sound could be heard when Hurricane walked through the sand. A few of the Blu and Red Mercenaries where meeting up in the middle of the two bases. Hurricane had only came for the chance to see Castiel or Vendetta. Their bone like tail swayed as they walked through the battle grounds.

Vendetta was standing next to Azz who was talking to someone Hurricane hadn't met yet. Hurricane happily made their walk over to the two. They joyfully waved which caught Vendetta's attention. "Greetings Hurricane," Vendetta said in Hurricane's direction. Azz turned to face the Blu Pyro aswell, "Oh hey!", she said with a sweet smile.

The other person of the group looked over aswell. "Oh hello! You must be Hurricane!" The person, Cyro happily waved to the other pyro.

For a second, Hurricane was going to wave back.

But they froze.

Their hallucinations started acting up.

The had pills that made them alot easier to deal with. But some certain triggers can make the pills almost useless.

In Hurricane's eyes, Cyro was shifting into a too familiar face for them.

Hurricane started to violently shake.

No one could see it with their mask, but Hurricane had started to cry.

"Are you oka-" Cyro started but he was shoved down to the ground by the other Pyro.

People where talking but it was all muffled for Them. They turned around and ran. They ran the fastest they could.

Vendetta quickly followed behind them worried for the small pyro.

They caught up to Hurricane inside the base at a door. Hurricane was having trouble opening the door with their shaky hands. "Hurricane, what's wrong?" They questioned worryingly.

"I-I-I n-n-n-need C-C-C-C-CC," Hurricane fumbled with the door, not facing Vendetta. "Are you going to be okay?" Vendetta asked placing their hand on Hurricane's shoulder. Hurricane jumped and wiped their head around to face Them. "P-P..pi-i..lls," Hurricane only replied.

Vendetta didn't really know how to deal with the situation. They sighed, "Let's go get you to CC,". Hurricane was such in a distress they didn't even know they where at the wrong door. When Vendetta tried to lead them away to the right door they started to panic. "N-N-NO!" Hurricane cried not starting to fight back. Vendetta had to keep a good grip on them.

"Shhhhh," Vendetta started to pay Hurricane's head which calmed them down alittle, "We are going to him don't worry,".

Vendetta took Hurricane to the medical bay where CC was working. He heard the footsteps and turned to look at them, "𝐻𝑒𝑙-," He then noticed Hurricane. "𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱." He panicly asked walking over.

"I don't exactly know, my apologies," They spoke as CC took Hurricane and guided them to a bed. Vendetta went to follow the two but CC stopped them.

"𝗜𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗯𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲, 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲,"

"But-"

"𝗟𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲. 𝑃𝑙𝑒𝑎𝑠𝑒,"

Vendetta glared at him but sighed. If CC thought it was best, they guess they would have to leave.

"Fine. But if you don't do your job I'll turn you have to two parts," Vendetta said as they turned around and walked away.

Hurricane sat in the medical bay holding a pillow, one that CC bought for them, with a tight grip. "𝐴𝑟𝑒 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑏𝑒𝑡𝑡𝑒𝑟 𝑛𝑜𝑤?" CC questioned as they multitasked. "Kinda," Hurricane replied burying their face into their pillow. They didn't have their mask on. CC was the only who had seen them unmasked at the time. He was the only medic Hurricane would let work on them. Hurricane was still trying to hype themself to show Vendetta their face. CC was the one to find them and then one to always be there for them.

The two where silent. That was fine. They just enjoyed eachother's company.

"CC...?" Hurricane spoke up.

"𝑌𝑒𝑠, 𝐻𝑢𝑟𝑟𝑖?" CC replied as he continued to work on things.

"Have.. you..... Have you ever been in.... Love.. before?" Their voice was somewhat muffled by the pillow but CC could still easily hear them.

"𝗔- ....,," He sighed, "𝑌𝑒𝑠....,".

"...Why... Why does it hurt so much," They started to sob almost.

CC stood still for a moment.

"𝑆𝑜𝑟𝑟𝑦 𝑃𝑢𝑝𝑝𝑒, 𝑇ℎ𝑎𝑡'𝑠 𝑎 𝑞𝑢𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝐼 𝑑𝑜𝑛'𝑡 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑛 𝑘𝑛𝑜𝑤 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑎𝑛𝑠𝑤𝑒𝑟 𝑡𝑜...."..

"It's fine...," They softly mumbled wiping away some of their tears.

CC walked over to the sobbing Pyro and patted their head. Hurricane looked up to the medic. "𝑌𝑜𝑢 𝑙𝑜𝑜𝑘 𝑟𝑎𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟 𝑏𝑒𝑎𝑢𝑡𝑖𝑓𝑢𝑙 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑎 𝑝𝑒𝑟𝑠𝑜𝑛 𝑤ℎ𝑜 ℎ𝑎𝑑 𝑏𝑒𝑒𝑛 𝑐𝑟𝑦𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑝𝑎𝑠𝑡 𝑡𝑒𝑛 𝑚𝑖𝑛𝑢𝑡𝑒𝑠," He spoke trying to cheer them up.

Hurricane stood still again. They stood up and grabbed their mask. They quickly placed the animal skull back on their head and put up their hoodie. "𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴?" CC asked genuinely confused. "I'm sleepy," They said quickly walking out of the room.

CC stood there, alone.

"𝐷𝑖𝑑 𝐼 𝑠𝑎𝑦 𝑠𝑜𝑚𝑒𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑤𝑟𝑜𝑛𝑔?"

"𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗯𝗹𝘆,".
