Chapter 11- Party day

I walk towards Luke's house checking the time. It was still 5:30. I guess I will be early to the party. Maybe, I can help him with setting up everything. I am super excited about today. I squealed internally out of happiness.

As I walked by the road, the people around me increased. I kept humming some song which I can't remember. Suddenly I bump into someone and the pack of cupcakes in my hand are slipping. I tried to stop it but, it fell from my hands even before I noticed. The other person fell on the ground.

"I am sorry!" The person said as she lifted her head. "Lucy!" she said as she looked at me. It is Tiffany.

"Ohh Lulu, I'm sorry. I was in a hurry to go to Luke's for helping him and I didn't see you. I'm really sorry." she held my hand apologising. The cupcakes are still on the floor and I kept staring at them. I couldn't speak a word.

"Let me help you" she said bending down to pick up the cakes. 

"It's fine. Leave-" I thought of asking her to leave those cakes but she started crying before I could ask her.

"Lulu, I'm sorry. You meant to give these to Luke for his birthday but I ruined everything. Didn't I?" tears started falling from her eyes. I slowly bent down and patted slowly on her shoulder to calm her down.

"I didn't do it on purpose, I swear." she kept murmuring it.

"Don't cry. It's nothing. I will buy him something else." I wanted to calm her down.

"Really. I will do with you and pay for it also. I need to take responsibility for ruining the gift."she looked at me as she spoke. She raised her voice looking at me.

"It's fine. The party is at six. You should go and help Luke." I said smiling as I pushed her from behind slowly towards Luke's house.

She tried to speak up again,"But.."

"It's fine. I promise. I will head over right after buying the gift." I said waving my hands. She waved back as she turned around and walked.

God! Why! I took the yellow wallet from my pocket and sighed looking at it. I slowly picked up the bag of ruined cupcakes from the ground and threw it in the trash nearby.

"You are finally here. Come in." Like said as he opened the door.

"Happy birthday, man. Sorry, I'm late." I wanted to be late. Too much crown in here. I handed the gift I bought him. It was just a keychain. I don't think he will mind.

"Haha, thanks." he took it and kept it aside. I knew it, he wouldn't complain. "Wait, Lucy isn't with you?" he asked looking behind me.

"Ha? Why would she be with me?" I asked him. Why the hell will I be that dimwit? "Wait, that means she isn't here, huh." I said looking around.

"No, she's not." he replied.

"Does anyone know Luciana's number. We ought to call her." Luke shouted. Everyone were silent. Some didn't have her number while others were confused. I am pretty sure, they don't know who Lu-ser is. I have her number but I am sure she will break my phone if I say Luke that I have her number.

"I have Nev's number but I don't have Lucy's. How about we call Nev and ask her for Lucy's." Tiffany suggested. Luke and Tiffany started speaking to each other. This Lu-ser will stay a Loser if she doesn't show up.

It's 7:03. She isn't here yet. Why the hell did I work so hard to bring Luke and her together when she never wanted to show up. A girl walked near towards me.

"Umm." I looked towards her without speaking a work. There was another short girl beside her.

"Hey, we are going to the game centre after party. Wanna join." she gave me a smile.

"Hey, aren't you being too blunt?" she whispered. Sorry, by my hearing senses are working perfectly fine. Let me give you a perfect surprise girls.

"Oh! I have got a better idea. Why don't you both come over to my place instead? I have many pets you can play with. I'm sure you will love them." I smirked. I am waiting for you to run.

"Okay, what kind of pets do you have?" the tall girl asked.

"I'm so excited." the short one squealed.

"Let's see....I have a rose haired tarantula, a black rat snake, and a lizard too. Which one do you like?" A horrific expression crept on their faces with my reply. They moved back saying that they had some other errands to run so can't make it today. Haha. Better stay away from me for the rest of your life.

I looked back at my phone.

> Hey, Luser. Why aren't you here yet?

> Text me back ASAP. Where are you?

This is the 12 message I sent and yet no reply. Asking her calmly won't work. I texted her again.

>I will give you two minutes to reply.

After two minutes, there was still no reply. I walked towards some girls who kept murmuring among themselves.

"Hey, can someone lend me there phone." I asked as they looked at me.

"Be my guest." All four of them kept there phones before me. I picked up a random phone and dialled her number. The call was picked within two rings.

"Hello! May I know who is calling?" I didn't knew. All I had to do was call from someone's phone. This girl was ignoring my calls.

"You finally picked the call, Lu-ser," I swear I will make you pay for making me wait and ignoring my calls.

"Ahh? Sorry, I'm busy. Bye." she panicked as she heard my voice.

"If you hang up the call. I swear I will make your life a living hell." I shouted. All the people around me looked at me.

"Ahh, I've been standing outside for an hour." she muttered on the other side.

"Get in here, you idiot." I shouted but a bit slowly not trying to attract more attention.

"But.." she tried to give a stupid excuse but I cut her off before that.

"No buts. Remember, I still have our selfie." as I spoke those words, the door banged open. She was looking angrily at me. I never knew, I could hold her a hostage just by a selfie. Proud of myself.
