~At the hospital.

*Scott’s pov*

I walked into the hospital with the take out my mom asked me to get for her. Sadie was with Stiles, I don’t know what has been up with them ever since the night of the fight, they seem closer and they always seem to disappear. There always at Stiles house too. I got snapped out of my thoughts as my mom walked behind the nurse’s station, "The doctor's on her way. And does anyone know where Dr. Hilyard is?"My mom asked. She saw me and she smiled,"Oh, thank God. I'm starving."My mom said and she grabbed the take out. I raised my eyebrows at her and she stopped," Oh, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Thank you for bringing me dinner."She said and she placed the container behind her. "Is everything okay? "I asked her. "Except for half the accident victims in a ten car pile-up being rerouted here from downtown, and the E.R. attending not answering any of his pages, yeah, I'm okay."My mom said. "What does not answering pages mean?"I asked her. "It means that nobody can find him, so now we have to wait for the on call to get here."She said. A lady walked up to the counter in pain, "Miss. "she said to my mom. "Yes?" my mom asked. "Excuse me, can I kind of please have something for the pain?"She asked. My mom looked at her sadly, "Okay, I'm sorry. I know but, actually giving you something could complicate things, so we really just need to wait for the doctors, Okay?"She said and the lady nodded,"Yeah." She said and walked back to her seat. "Okay. How much longer on Dr.Hilyard?"My mom asked another nurse. "Ten minutes. "She said and my mom nodded. I walked over to the lady and sat down next to her," Uh, you know, I think that I read online that sometimes human contact can help with pain." I said to her and I gently placed my hand on her and started to take away some of her pain, see visibly relaxed and gave me a small smile and I took my hand away. "Someone-Someone help me! I need help!"Ethan shouted and I stood up as I saw him carrying a unwell looking Danny.

~Dr.Hilyard’s car.

Dr. Hilliard is using the Toyota Entune hands free feature to call the hospital. She says it’s going to take her longer than she thought to make it and to tell Melissa, as she is slowed by the traffic caused by the 10 car pileup.

"Okay, gentle, gentle, gentle! "My mom said to some nurses as they helped Danny sit down in a chair. I pulled Ethan aside, "What did you do to him?"I asked. "Nothing. He said he was having chest pains and trouble breathing, but it-it just kept getting worse."Ethan said."This is not good. How much longer on Dr.Hilyard? His larynx has shifted to the side. I think it's a tension pneumothorax."Melissa said. Danny bent over and threw up on the floor and his stomach contacts had Mistletoe in it. "Mistletoe."Ethan and I said.

~Dr. Hilyard’s car.

Dr. Hilliard is still driving to the hospital when a moth lands on her windshield. She turns on the wipers and whisks it away. A few seconds later an identical moth flies into the car through the air conditioning vent, she sees it,"How did you get in?"She asked.

~back at the hospital.

Danny was wheeled into an examination room and layed down on the bed, "Can you two please go back to the waiting room?"My mom said. "Where are the nurses and the doctors? Where is everyone?"I asked my mom. "It's a full house tonight. They're tending to other patients."My mom said. "Okay, well, mom, how can we help?"I asked. She gave me a small smile, "Honey, you can't. His lung is collapsed. His heart is being pushed against his chest cavity,-"My mom started, "He’s gonna die, isn't he?"Ethan said. "No. No, he's not. Scott, you grab the tape. You grab those scissors and cut his shirt open."My mom directed us. "Okay."My mom said as she took out a syringe. "Mom, he's not breathing." I said as Danny stopped breathing. "I know, I know. Okay, here we go."My mom said as she jabs the syringe into his left pectoral in what appears to be a procedure called a "needle thoracostomy". Once inserted, the needle has a valve that is opened to allow the air to escape and relieve the pressure in his chest. Danny started to breathe normally. "Thank you." He said to my mom and she smiled, "No problem."She said and then she caught Ethan and I staring at her. "What?" she asked. "That was awesome." I said and I saw Ethan nodded from the corner of my eye. "It was no problem, you know? I mean, it wasn't a big deal."My mom said.
