"Ugh, is it really necessary for me to be here, dad?" I groan as I stare out of the window of the private jet.

"Of course, it is! It's you who'll have to be dealing with all of this stuff in a few years." He takes a sip of his scotch.

"Oh, hell naw. Not like you're going anywhere; you'll be the one dealing with all of these contracts and visiting these stupid gang territories even after a few years."

"Ree, we both know I'm getting old darling. God knows-"

"Nope! Don't you even dare to finish that sentence!" I narrow my eyes at him and he raises his hands in surrender.

I sit back with a pleased smile. "What's taking so long to take off? Where is Li? He's not usually the one to be late."

"We're waiting for someone else as well."

As if on cue, I hear footsteps emerging. Louis enters the jet, carrying a duffle bag with Liam behind him carrying his own laptop and a bag smaller than the one Louis has.

Pretty sure he has packed for a vacation, not for visiting a gang territory.

Typical dramatic Lou.

"Ah, thank god you're here! I thought I'd be stuck with these two at some headquarters," I say to Louis as we fist bump.

"Yeah, thought I should put you out of your misery and might as well make this territory visit a family trip," he smiles as he sits down.

Called it.

"But I thought you said it was just us three in this one. What made you change your mind?" I turn to ask dad.

"Your face. You were literally acting like I was sending you to some other planet without him. I felt guilty for separating you two so I asked him if he could join and he agreed."

"Of course, he did," I jokingly say back in an annoyed tone.

"Daddy's little princess was acting like a brat so of course I had to agree at the last moment," he says back.

Oh no, he did not.

Before he can even blink, I'm standing by his side with my pocket knife on his neck as I seethe, "Take. It. Back."

"Irene!" dad yells at the same time Louis screams in shock,

"James!"

"For God's sake, why do you two always have to fight like this?! You're gonna end up stabbing each other someday!" Liam exclaims in a high-pitched voice.

Why is he panicking? Not like I'm going to stab Louis.

"Aw look at you, one of our finest gang members calling out for dad's help as soon as he gets attacked. Boo hoo!" I mock him.
