Brought along on Max's yearly vacation across America under the condition she doesn't tell his grandchildren about her extraterrestrial origins, she's not sure of what to expect. Sure, he'd forced her to watch a few decades-old coming-of-age movies to try and give her a taste, but that hadn't done anything but make her fall asleep. Listening to him recount memories of experiences with one of them was always interrupted every few minutes by her asking questions.
The first night the four are together, it hadn't been out of the ordinary to see a meteor shower overhead. There was, however, one that suddenly changed course and made its way straight to the forest Ben was supposedly walking through.

i. this is an alternate universe that takes place in modern times and where ben receives the omnitrix at seventeen rather than ten. this fanfic follows the events of the shows, beginning with the original series. a. episodes deemed unimportant to the story will be skipped
