Ok. This sounds great! I have always wanted a pet. Having a familiar is even better. I am so excited about that! Having a familiar must be one of the most wonderful things in life. Like just imagine having a cute furry little animal who will comfort you, make you stronger and always be there for you. Like thats just amazing. Who wouldn't love it? I grin at Anna. This is going to he wonderful.

"That's great! Tell me how to get the familiar." I tell her, barely able to contain my excitement.

"Lets not get ahead of ourselves. Not all witches are gifted with familiars. Only very strong witches are gifted with them. Those witches need support to control and discipline their magic. That is why only they can summon familiars for themselves. We know that you are a strong witch but you might not find a familiar whose powers equal yours. Familiars need to be as strong as you. They are like a missing part of your own magic and strength." Anna explains.

I feel a pang of disappointment as i think that i might not have a familiar. But there is still hope. I am going to hold onto that hope. I would really hope i would have one. I have always wanted to have a pet. It would really really suck if i dont have a familiar. God cannot be so unfair right? I wonder how my familiar will look? Would it be a raven or a dog?

"One more thing you need to know about familiars. They can shape shift. They all have two forms. One they use when there is a great danger or when they are free and feel like it. This form is usually very large. The second form is much smaller. This second form is used among humans and to blend in. They also use this form to go unnoticed and be able to surprise their enemies." Anna explains again and i like it.

Now that is super cool. Like shape shifting sounds so damn amazing. I wish i could shape shift. No wonder familiars are so damn special and rare. Now i am even more eager and excited to get my familiar. I feel so happy about it, i want to sing and dance around. The spirits seem to notice my happiness and start whispering louder to me. Some of my happiness vanishes but i dont concentrate on the dead.

"So what is your familiar's name?" I ask her. I have been dying to ask her that for a while now.

"His name is Aslan." She replies.

Wow now that is a noble name. Like the lion in the Chronicles of Narnia had the same name. I guess the cute cat must be fearsome and noble enough for that name to  fit him. I look at the cat. He looks back at me with those intelligent eyes. I smile at him. I kinda wanna go play with him but i am not sure if he will like that.

"Can he shape shift?" I ask Anna, keeping my eyes on Aslan.

"Only if he wants to." She replies, looking at Aslan as well. Aslan looks at Anna and then at me. I am giving him puppy dog eyes. I really really want to see his other form. I want to see who he is. Aslan looks at me for a long moment before blinking.

He gets up from where he was sitting walks away. He turns around and looks at Anna. Slowly he streches himself. Golden and green smoke cover him for a second. When the smoke dissipates, i see him. I gasp and it takes all my self control not to turn around and run away. Aslan is a lion. And oh my goodness. He is huge. He is magnificent. His golden mane almost glitters and his green eyes are fixed on Anna.

His eyes slowly move to me and i feel weak in the knees. He walks towards Anna, not making a noise. He is literally as tall as Anna. I wonder how tall he would be when he stands on two legs. This right here is a predator. He is just so terrfyingly beautiful. Again i wondet how strong Anna must be to have a familiar like this. I make a note to never piss off Anna or Aslan. Anna rubs Aslan's mane and looks at me.

"Are you ready for your familiar?" She asks. I nod so much, i think my head will fall off.

"Good. So lets get started." She said.
