CHAPTER 3
There are 9 crewmates remaining.
Dream.

WHEN no clear leads presented themselves, the crew found themselves distraught. Eret's yellow jacket, the one the impostor has left behind as a sign of their deed, rested firmly in Tubbo's arms as the brown haired boy looked on worriedly.

"He's not dead, Tubbo," Dream assured him quietly when no one else had the words to. "This is just a game. They wouldn't kill."

His green hues swept the room, landing on each individual as if they were the ones who killed Eret. Who killed him, just as they would during their playful rounds of Among Us. It seemed too realistic now, no one was quite sure how they felt about that development.

Tubbo was a poor liar, clad in his dark green jacket. He hugged it closer to himself in comfort, but the young boy had a worried look in his eyes.

Fundy was biting his lip, staring at Dream as if awaiting instructions. He was cunning, and he was certainly capable of a prank this large, and so Dream took mental notice of him.

He and George shared a friendship so close, that even if he had set it up, he would have accidentally spilled to Dream in one way or another. So as their gazes met, they reached a mutual understanding that neither of them were the impostor. Not to mention, the wholehearted concern the other boy had suffered when he thought Dream was dead was enough for Dream to believe his innocence.

Sapnap and Antfrost were whispering to one another. He had noticed their newfound friendship, and found it endearing, as Sapnap constantly referred to himself as the third wheel constantly. Sapnap too had the capability to be the impostor, but the cowboy-like Texan would have targeted Dream first. Since Dream was still standing, he had an inkling to let him go into his safe category. But even then, Dream didn't fully feel safe with any of them.

Antfrost was far too quiet for Dream to know any leads, or anything that would steer suspicions away. As much as he wanted to pass off the cat-loving boy as trustworthy, he simply could not.

Punz was looking at him with a fire in his eyes. Dream knew how hot his temper could be, but also how observant and meticulous the cyan crewmate was. During rounds on their streams where they were joint impostors, they were purely unstoppable, which had probably caused the power dynamic in the current crew. Dream had no doubt the others had no idea who to follow.

Finally, he reached Bad and Skeppy. Skeppy was one for trolls, and he wouldn't put it past the short, dark-haired boy to ensue a massive game of Among Us. There was no doubt in his mind that if Skeppy was the impostor, that Bad was in on it too. That being said, he highly doubted Bad had set this up himself.

"Alright," Punz blurted, drawing attention to himself. Dream stepped back from power, nodding to Punz to continue. The self proclaimed deputy respected the other, and continued. "If we plan to finish our tasks, we need to split up and find the next clue. Then maybe we'll find out more."

"I agree." Sapnap agreed, and the rest of the crew voiced their affirmative opinions to Punz. "Who will be the groups? Groups of two would make it easy for the impostor to kill someone, but a group of three would make it more likely everyone could survive."

Dream lifted an eyebrow, sharing another laughable look at George. That was the first time Dream had ever heard something remotely intelligent come out of his friend's mouth, and he wasn't sure if that was an exaggeration.

Punz dipped his head. "Excellent point. Me, Fundy, and Tubbo will explore the kitchen," he hummed, putting everyone else into groups. "Dream, George, and Antfrost will go to the library, and the remaining group of Sapnap, Skeppy, and Bad will go investigate the bedrooms."
