CHAPTER 7.
There are 5 crewmates remaining.
Antfrost.

ANOTHER sleepless night occurred, and Ant was doubting his mental health could take another day of this stress. Not only was he suspect number one, but their numbers were ticking by the minute.

Truthfully, he expected to wake up dead, whether in the act of being killed or literally just dead, watching the impostor haul his body away. But the empty water glasses on his door, and on the floor next to the bookshelf, were entirely untouched.

For a few minutes, he sat up straight in his bed and didn't move. If he stayed in his room, he would be entirely safe from the impostor.

He also wouldn't have to explain why he had left his room in the dead of the night.

Antfrost mustered the energy to get to his feet but quickly realized he was the only one awake. With nothing better to do, he went down stairs.

Just his luck, that he would be caught in the kitchen with the lights off, with a jacket mere inches from his feet.

"Antfrost?"

"I can explain-"

"What's going on?" Dream appeared behind Punz, flipping the light on while rubbing sleep out of his eyes. Antfrost didn't think this could get much worse. "Oh."

Punz shook his head. "You're ass at this, Ant."

Ant scoffed. "Even if I was the impostor, at least I had gotten this far."

Bad's black jacket was on the floor, signifying his death. Ant distantly figured at least he's reunited with Skeppy wherever he is.

"So it is you?" Dream raised an eyebrow, leaning against the kitchen counter. Footsteps could be heard as Tubbo and Sapnap appeared.

The crippling pressure lashed at him. At this point, wasn't it easier to confess to a crime he didn't commit? He couldn't stand this constant torrent, the distrust in everyone's eyes, the flinching when he walked by. That wasn't how friends acted. "Yes, whatever, it's me!"

"Where are the others?" Tubbo gasped, just as the rest of the group exchanged happy yet confused glances.

"I wouldn't know."

"But you're..."

Ant hissed. "No matter what I say, you won't believe a word of it. Tell me I'm wrong."

Punz sighed, burying his face in his hands with no response in mind. Dream tapped his chin to avoid the question, and Tubbo sheepishly looked away.

Sapnap cleared his throat, but had nothing to say either.

"That's what I thought." Ant slid onto the floor, his back against the kitchen counter. He closed his eyes, the overwhelming lack of sleep swimming in his lousy brain.

His brain went on autopilot as he heard the rest of the crew walk away, leaving him alone. Tears threatened to break through his tightly lidded eyes, and he was unaware of how much time passed.

Ant blinked into the present, realizing he had fallen asleep on the kitchen floor. A rough grip rested on his shoulder as Antfrost was awoken by a harsh shake. "You're dead."

"What?" He managed, just as his mouth was covered. He squirmed, trying to see his accosters face, but it all just went black at once. One moment, he was struggling to see, and the next he thought it was the end of the world.

The next moment after that, he couldn't think at all.
