Damian's been walking around his room for thirty minutes now. Thinking, confused, and sad. Raven's been cold to him for five days. He tried to talk to her but she always avoids him. He thought that maybe she needs some space. He thought that he should wait for her to be ready. He thought to be patient as he can be. He sits at the side of his bed facing the large window in his room and puts both of his hands on his face. But the longer their situation gets the more distant they get. He looked at his side table and saw the picture of him and his girlfriend at the park with Titus. He grabbed the photo and looked at it. Staring at this photo made Damian remember their happy moments. He misses her, her laugh, her smile, her happy eyes, her presence. He sighed as he lay down his bed. She needs time, she'll talk when she's ready. He keeps telling himself that. An hour has passed when Damian's phone rings. He reach for it and peak at who it is. When he saw who texted him he immediately jumps off the bed. It was Raven.'Meet me at the rooftop in ten minutes.'
Reading her text made him happy. Finally, after five days, she's ready to talk. But a part of him is being nervous, what if things won't come out the way things could be? What if... He shook his head. Trying to forget what he had in mind. What's important is that she's ready to talk. While waiting he fixed his hair and prepared the gift he had for her. Today's their fifteenth month of being together. For now, he doesn't care if she remembered it or what. What's important to him is that she's okay. He left his room when he finished fixing himself. Mixed emotions are filling him right now. His hands are shivering, he can't help but overthink the things that might happen today.
When he reached the rooftop he saw his girlfriend near the edge of the tower, facing the sea while the wind is blowing away her cloak and her hair. He couldn't help but smile. After five days of staying in her room, finally, he saw her again. All of his thoughts earlier was gone. All of those thoughts were replaced with love and understanding. He slowly walked towards her. When he reached her he slowly hugged her from behind which startled the mage. Damian looked at her with confusion. "Usually you should've sense me when I was walking towards you beloved." He said in a soft voice. Raven didn't answer and just stared at the sky. When Damian noticed this he let out a big sigh. "I missed you so much." He said as he buries his face into her neck. Raven sighed as she resisted to Damian's hug and faced him. Damian was surprised to see her face. A blank expression. He never saw her like this before. He was about to hold her face when Raven looked away. "What's wrong Raven? Did I do something wrong?" He asked as he holds both of her hands. "Tell me beloved." He said as he kisses her hands. Raven removed her hands from Damian's grip and step away from him. "I-" She said and sigh. It's like she didn't know what to say. Damian was about to hold her but he stopped himself. "What is it?" He patiently asked. Raven closed her eyes and hugged herself. She didn't know how to say it. "Raven you've been in your room for five days straight. I gave you the time and space you needed." Damian said, but this time he's trying to hold back the tears that are trying to show up. It hurts him. It hurts him seeing her like this, not knowing what to do. She can't even smile a bit. "I'm leaving the Titans," Raven said as she looked away from him. Damian was shocked and didn't know what to say. "W-what? Why?" He asked. Raven formed her hands into a fist. "I-I don't want to be a Titan anymore." She answered, but this time she meets his eyes. Damian was about to speak when Raven shushed him. "I don't need to answer all of your questions Damian. I'm just here to inform you that I'm leaving." She said as she walked away. She was about to make a portal when Damian stopped her by grabbing her other hand. "Where will you go? Please, let me come with you." He said while his hands are shivering. Raven could feel the pain he's feeling. But she has no choice. Raven once again removed her hand from his grip and faced him. "Don't you still get it, Damian? I'm breaking up with you." Hearing this made time stops for Damian. His brain can't digest the words she said. The tears that he's been holding back just came out. When he understands what she meant, he tried to hold her. Beg her to say that it was just a joke. But Raven didn't let him hold her, and that's enough to answer his question. Damian formed his hands into a fist. "After all that we've been through. You're just gonna leave me like this?" Damian asked. Raven didn't answer which hurts Damian even more. "Can't you just tell me why? I need to know Raven!" Damian couldn't help but raise his voice. "You don't need to know why." Raven dryly answered. Damian looked at her with a blank expression. But deep inside his heart is being torn into pieces. "Do you even love me?" He asked, but again, she didn't answer him. Raven turned her back on him as she reached her arm to create a portal. "Goodbye, Damian." She said as a portal appeared in front of her. She faced him for the last time. "I'm sorry." She said as she continued to enter the portal. "Raven!" Damian shouted as he tried to chase her through the portal, but it already closed.
Damian's knees feel weak. He let himself feel to the ground. Crying, asking himself so many questions. He grabbed the gift that he was supposed to give Raven. He opened the box. It was a ring. But not an engagement ring. He planned to give this to her in the meantime. This ring should've been a promise, that it will always be the two of them. No matter what. But now it won't happen.
