Memories

"Wake up Damian." Damian suddenly sits as he heard a voice. He looked around his room, searching. He puts both of his hands on his face as soon as he realized that it was just a dream.

He gets up from his bed and fixed himself. He gets out of the bathroom with only a towel covering him. He opened his closet to find something to wear. As he searches his closet he saw a red scarf hanging.

"Everything will be okay beloved." A sweet voice approached him. He saw his girlfriend walking towards him holding a red scarf.

"What's that for?" He asked her. Raved giggles as she wears the scarf around his neck. "My gift to you." Damian looked at her confused. "A gift? For what?"

Raven rested her head on his shoulder. "Nothing, I just wanna give you something."

Damian closed his closet as soon as he gets dressed. As he walks by the silent hallway to the common room he passed by a room. A room that has never been touched since... Damian was about to enter it but something inside him stops him.

As soon as he entered the common room everyone stops from what they're doing and looked at him. Damian ignored them and gets himself a glass of water.

"Damian, I have to do this," Raven said as they hold both of their hands. "You have to trust me." Damian closed his eyes as he looked away.

"Do you trust me, Damian?" A tear came out of Raven's eyes. Damian kissed both of her hands. "I do beloved, I do," Damian answered. Raven gave Damian a little kiss on his lips.

Raven can sense the fear in Damian. She placed her hands on his cheek. "Hey, I'll be okay. I promise."

After he eats lunch he went to his room to rest his mind. As he entered his room Titus approached him and jumped at him. They both fell to the ground. Damian decided to take him on a walk since it's just 3:00 pm.

As he walks Titus through the park he can't help but notice a couple under a tree eating some cotton candy. He stopped and looked at them, they were sweet as them back then.

Damian's been staring at the window of the plane while his chin rested on his hands. Raven who is sitting beside him noticed the mixed emotions that her boyfriend is feeling. She rested her head on his shoulder. "Stop worrying Damian, everything will be okay." She said with a sweet and calm voice.

Damian smiled as he rested his head on hers and holds her hand and kissed it. "After all this, I'm going to take you on a date." He whispered in her ears. Raven sits properly to have a better look at him. "A date? Wow... Can you even remember our last date?" She asked.

Damian laughed as he puts Raven's head on his shoulder. "Months ago." He answered. "We'll walk in the park, or go to the amusement park." He said. Raven giggled. "Then we'll ride the Ferris wheel, and eat some cotton candy." She added as she closed her eyes.

They both remained in that position, enjoying each other's presence before they face the war.

Minutes later when a siren sounded. The two love birds both stand up. It's a sign for Raven and her group to go. Raven was about to walk away when Damian tightened his grip on Raven's hands. Raven can see the worry in his eyes. Raven hugged him.

"Hey... Everything will be okay." She said as she hugged her tightly. She took a deep breath. "I love you, Damian." Damian closed his eyes. "I love you too." He said as he broke the hug.

He placed his hand on her cheeks and gave her a sweet smile. "Be careful.  Okay?" He said.

Raven nodded. "I'm always careful." She said. They were calling her name because it's her turn to drop off the plane. Before she leaves she kissed Damian on his cheek and ran away.

As soon as they came back to the tower Damian changed into comfy clothes. He decided to go to the training room to drive his attention away. As he walks through the tower's hallway he passed by Dick and Kori who is standing by Raven's room. He approached them.

"What are you doing here?" He asked with a cold and demanding voice. Kori and Dick looked at each other. Dick reached for his pocket to get something, a key. He handed it to Damian.

Damian reached for the key and looked at it. When he realized what key it is his hands began to shiver.

As Damian and the others get past the parademons they immediately entered the tower. As they entered the tower they bumped into the team where Raven is included. Some of them are injured.

"We've won, Darkseid is defeated," Diana said as she assists the wounded Hal Jordan. The others helped those who are wounded while Damian roamed his eyes around the area finding Raven.

When he still couldn't find her he confronted the others. "Where is she?" He asked, trying to stay calm. Diana looked at Batman with worry in her eyes.

Bruce walks towards his son and placed both of his arms on his shoulders. "I'm sorry Damian." Damian's time stopped as soon as he heard these words come from his father. Tears were threatening to come out of his eyes. "No... No, no, no, no, no!" He said as he ran to the hallway where they came from, hoping to find her. "Damian!" They called but he just ignored them.

As he runs he bumped into Jon Kent, carrying the body of Raven. "Damian, I'm so sorry." He said as he slowly lowering her body to the floor. Damian suddenly fell to his knees as he sees the dead body of Raven.

His hands are shivering as he reached for her body. Her skin is burned, he hugged her body as tears start to come out of his eyes.

"No one has ever touched her room ever since she died," Kori said. "We know that these past few days have been really hard for you. But we just want to let you know that we're here for you." She said as she puts her hand on his shoulder.

"That key you're holding is now yours," Dick said as he gestures the key Damian is holding. "So that whenever you miss her, you can go to her room anytime." He said and smiled at Damian.

Kori and Dick left him at Raven's door to give him some privacy. Damian used the key to open the door. As the door opens he was welcomed with a dark room. As he switches on the lights he felt emotional. Damian started walking around the room.

It's been three weeks since Raven passed away so some of her things are a bit dusty. As Damian approaches her bed he can see a photo of them placed on top of her side table. He grabbed it and looked at the photo. It was the day they become together.

He can't help but cry. He sits on her bed as he hugged their photo. "Why did you left me beloved? I promise you a date, didn't I?" He said as he continued crying.

As he cries he felt something surrounding him, it's like hugging him. He wasn't scared or alerted because he knew who it is. He let that energy surround him. She's here, hugging him.

"I miss you, Raven."
