Chapter 39 "Serious Talk"

"In Sasha's House"

It was about 11 PM at night when Sasha arrived back from her date night with Seth, her mother was waiting for her and Sasha was glad she didn't find her mother sleeping as she needed to get some things out of her chest.

"Sasha! You are late! Where have you been?" The mother said.

"I was with Seth." Sasha said.

"Didn't you and Seth break up?" The mother said.

"We are back together." Sasha said, showing her mother her engagement ring in her finger.

"What did he do? How did he fooled you to get back to him?" The mother said as she was upset.

"Nothing, he did nothing, we got back because we love each other." Sasha said.

"Ohh really?" The mother said.

"What are you going to do next to ruin our life? Are you going to go to him again to make fun of him because he is in a wheelchair?" Sasha said angrily.

"So he told you?" The mother said.

"Yes, and I am not going to let you ruin my life again!!! Leave me alone! I love Seth, and I will marry Seth!!!" Sasha said angrily.

"You are not going to marry Seth!! You can't marry him. He is a disabled guy!!! You will be forever a servant to him if you married him." The mother said angrily.

"It's not about him being unable to walk. You have never liked him for some reason since day one!! I don't even know what did he do to you to make you hate him that much!" Sasha said.

"I can't see you being happy with Seth....You deserve a better man. Seth is not your type!! I want you to marry our neighbour, he is a rich man and he likes you so much." The mother said.

"You don't get to decide that for me!! It's my choice and I am going to marry Seth, whether you like him or not." Sasha said, and she went to her room.

"It's not going to happen, Sasha!!!" The mother shouted, but Sasha closed the door of her room.

"In AJ & Alexa's House"

Alexa woke up at about 11 AM, and she knew AJ was downstairs sleeping on the coach as she felt him arriving home late.

Alexa didn't have anything to do, no work, no one to talk to, no place to go to, nothing at all. She was feeling so lonely. She took her phone and opened the gallery, checking her old photos with AJ back when they were newly married. It broke her heart how things have changed between them. Her tears fell on the screen.

One of the newest photos popped up in front of her, and it was the photo that Naomi took of her with Nikki's baby girl. She looked at herself holding the baby and imagined how it could have been her baby boy.

On seeing that photo, she dried her tears and smiled, imagining how awesome it would have been to be a mother.

Alexa went downstairs and sat on the chair beside the coach that AJ was sleeping on.

She looked at him and noticed the bruise on his face, so she was surprised. She came closer and touched that bruise gently, which made him get up in panic and caught her hand violently as he was still in panic.

"Take your breath!! Do you want some water?" Alexa asked, taking her hand away from his fist.

"No." AJ said and started catching his breath.

Alexa started patting on AJ's shoulder, but he took her hand away.

"What were you doing?" AJ asked.

"I was checking your face. Who did that to you?" Alexa said.
