Bound to happen

The boys wake up to see Hoseok sitting on the same chair, with his back facing them. When they did realize the boy stopped breathing, no one did make a sound, no scream was heard either. Yoongi came to the younger boy, and held one of his hands. Taehyung looked at Hoseok. He bent down and put his head on the older's chest. Jungkook, stood up, letting all of it sink in. Jimin stroked his hair, when Jin kisses Hoseok's forehead one last time. Namjoon swallows down the lump trapped in his throat, as he did take a look at Hoseok's soft features.

Everyone had an urge to fight back those tears, but they failed, because their friend died with a fond smile.
______

That day, everything was up the way Hoseok wanted it to be, just his friends and some other
acquaintances. He was never, in fact a fan of dramatic goodbye. Simple, subtle : that's how he wanted it to be, or atleast that was what he said to Yoongi, when he joked about him dying. That day, all of them played some videos of them being silly. Despite everything, they couldn't help but laugh at these memories. Taehyung looked at the picture and smiled at Hoseok, who is still seen smiling in the picture. No matter how much pain he was in, Hoseok never let others know anything of it. The flowers surrounding the framed picture made it look pleasing.

If you'd think about it, no one is really prepared for death. It really isn't that they didn't feel it coming, or that it's close, not that they didn't try to atleast prepare themselves for it. But when it did happen, it was unacceptable. It was like a pill way too bitter to swallow. It felt something would always be missing, forever, for the rest of their lives. That 'something' they could never get back.

Those dance shows that had Jimin staring into the television screen were not the same anymore without Hoseok criticising them, and only praising Jimin. Namjoon breaking things and moving about in a clumsy way wasn't the same without Hoseok not saying, "Taehyung, that's okay, it happens" and smiling thereafter.
Kimchi never tasted the same without the boy praising Jin. Their hideout became a gloomy place for Yoongi and getting money from Yoongi's wallet didn't feel the same for Jungkook without Hoseok willingly helping him. The things Hoseok always had a habit of saying kept ringing in their minds. Mornings and nights were like going on to eat to only find a plate, spoon untouched. The parts of his clothing that they found here and there, those unfinished clips of him dancing saved in his phone made them remember how much they missed him, how much they've lost and how much Hoseok had left behind.

And, most of all nothing seemed the way it is, without Hoseok not being with Taehyung. The younger missed Hoseok, a lot.

All of them found things they'd keep with them for it reminded them of Hoseok. It reminded them the parts of the boy they miss the most, and the memories they created with them.

All of them smile looking at the picture that still hangs on the wall, the first picture of them together, while Taehyung tries to find something that he might keep.

He summons upon a blue diary.
