"Get lost, man," Fulton spat.
Rick set down his tray on the neighboring table, smirking.
"And what are you gonna do if I don't?" he sneered.
Fulton gave Rick a shove, causing him to take a step or two back. Y/N immediately stood up with both of their bags,
"Enough, let's go," she said as she quickly pulled Fulton out of the dining hall.
As they were going and stepping outside, Guy and Connie entered the building. They both stopped to meet up with Y/N and Fulton,
"What's going on?" Guy asked.
Y/N shook her head and handed Fulton his bag,
"Rick, he tried to get Fulton to fight him,"
"God, did anything happen?" Connie asked.
Fulton shook his head as he put his backpack on,
"I pushed him, but Y/N pulled me out before he could do anything to me,"
"I just didn't want it to escalate then have you get in trouble. It would've been nice to see him get what he deserves, though," Y/N replied.
They all chuckled and nodded in agreement,
"Well, where do you guys wanna go?" Connie asked.
Y/N shrugged,
"We could go to the lounge at Simmon's?"
"Yeah, let's go," Guy said.
They all began to walk back to Simmon's Hall, joking around about Fulton's "almost fight".
When they entered the lounge, Y/N sat on the sofa with Fulton, while Connie and Guy sat in bean bags on the floor next to them. Each of them pulled out different textbooks and homework assignments that they needed to finish for the next day's classes.
A few hours of homework, studying, and chit-chatting later, they heard a voice behind them,
"What's up, losers?"
They all turned around to see Charlie, smiling.
"Hey, Charlie! Afternoon. Hey!" They all chimed in.
Charlie jumped over the couch, landing next to Fulton.
"What're you guys up to?" He asked.
Everyone lifted up their books and assignments,
"Homework, what are you up to?" Y/N asked.
Charlie shrugged,
"Not much. Hey, Y/N, are you all set for tomorrow?"
Y/N smiled and nodded,
"Yup! I've got it all planned out, I just need to remind Julie, Kenny, and Russ. Does anyone have their room phone numbers?"
Connie quickly pulled out a piece of paper from her binder,
"Here, just use this. We all traded phone numbers when we moved in,"
Y/N took the paper and put it into her folder,
"Perfect, I'll call them tonight!"
"Has anyone done anything interesting this weekend? Besides Y/N and Fulton getting together?" Charlie asked, making Y/N playfully roll her eyes.
Connie and Guy shrugged and shook their heads,
"Not really, but Fulton almost got into a fight at the dining hall this morning," Guy stated.
Charlie raised his eyebrows,
"With who?"
"Rick's dumb ass," Fulton replied.
Charlie chuckled,
"Woah, props to you,"
Y/N stood up and stretched,
"I don't know about you guys, but I think I've done as much work as I can handle for today. Let's go do something,"
They all stood up and packed their bags with no hesitation as if they had all been waiting for someone to suggest anything else other than working.
"Where to?" Fulton asked.
Y/N shrugged,
"I don't care, someone pick something,"
"You guys wanna go play some street hockey?" Connie suggested.
Guy, Fulton, and Charlie nodded,
"Yeah, let's do it. Should we call everyone else?" Charlie asked.
"That might be a good idea," Y/N stated.
Connie pulled out her mobile phone from her bag, pulling up the antenna before dialing a phone number,
"Wow, that's cool, Connie," Fulton stated.
Connie covered the mouth speaker,
"Thanks, Fulton,"
They all stood in silence as Connie talked on the phone with what they assumed was Julie.
"Here, why don't we all go back to our rooms and call people, then we can meet in the courtyard at-"
Y/N looked up at the lounges clock, 12:42,
"-1ish?"
They all nodded in agreement, slinging bags over their shoulders and leaving the lounge. When Y/N got back to her room, she pulled out the list that Connie had given her. First, she called Kenny,
"Hey, Kenny!"
"Who's this?"
"Oh, it's Y/N,"
"Oh, sorry. What's up?"
"Me, Fulton, Connie, Guy, and Charlie are gonna go play street hockey, wanna come?"
"Yeah!"
"Awesome! Meet up in the courtyard at 1,"
"Cool, see ya,"
Y/N hung the phone up before dialing a few more phone numbers.
At 12:55, Y/N left her room and made her way to the courtyard. When she arrived, most of the Ducks were already waiting with their gear and sticks.
"Hey, yall!" Y/N announced.
A variety of hellos were passed along, Fulton folded through them to stand next to Y/N. As the rest of the Duck trickled in, they all made their way to the fenced-in basketball court next to the Physical Education building.
When they got there, everyone put on their pads, helmets, and rollerblades. They got their gear on and skated onto the court while Y/N sat and watched on the steel benches within the fence. She watched as they began their game, smiling.
Her eyes barely left Fulton, he glided around the court effortlessly. He would often look over to her to give her a wink and a smile, which drove her crazy.
They all continued to play for about an hour before they came over to the benches to take a break.
"Y/N, have you ever played hockey before?" Charlie asked.
She shook her head,
"No, I know how to skate, though. But, I've never played hockey,"
"Do you wanna try?" he asked.
The other Ducks began to smile,
"Um, sure, but, I don't think I can fit into your skates ," she stated.
Connie quickly took off her gear and handed it to Y/N,
"Here, use my stuff,"
Y/N gladly took her things and strapped them onto herself. She and everyone else, except Connie, skated back onto the court.
