Citadel Rapid Transport Hub,
Presidium,
Citadel

Garrus stood by the transport hub gazing at those around him. Him and Larsan had been given command of a five man squad consisting of two Humans, two Turians and one Salarian.

The Salarians name was Luhan Worix. He had a darker skin tone then Larsan but both wore the blue c-sec armour.

The two Humans appeared to be complete opposites. One man was short and out of shape with receding black hair, his name was Carlos Bolte. The other man was tall and broad shouldered with short blonde hair, his name was Khalid Linns.

The two Turians were both of tall broad chested builds but had very different appearances. One had dark skin with white paint in a line across his nose, his name was Decitis Carnral. The other had a lighter skin tone with dark red paint running down his face in three lines, one beside each eye and in between running over his nose. His name was Voruns Duviscus.

All together their group made seven. Each member of the group had a gun in their hand ready for anything. Vorans and Decitis both held M-15 Vindicators which are three round burst fire assault rifles. The humans weapons much like them were complete opposites, Carlos held an M-27 Schmitar shotgun whereas Khalid held an M-96 Mattock which is a single fire assault rifle. The Salarian Luhan held an M-12 Locust SMG. Larsan as always held his M-9 Tempest SMG which he had customised by painting yellow. Garrus looked down towards his own hands to see his M-92 Mantis.

After all their gear was prepped the team boarded a transit shuttle. Garrus before boarding looked into the sky and took in the Presidium, his favourite place on the Citadel "One day I'm gonna climb to the top of the Presidium" he whispered to himself and then turned and joined the others in the shuttle.

The trip to the Lower Wards took half an hour. After leaving the shuttle the team gathered in front of the transit hub so that Garrus and Larsan could brief them.

"Executor Pallin told me to brief you upon our arrival in the lower wards so here's the plan. We got a lead that the guns might be getting bought in through the lower wards. We are a sweep team our job is to sweep the area and search for anything suspicious."Said Garrus addressing the group with Larsan by his side.

This was met with a chorus of "Yes sir" and "let's do this."

"Ok load your weapons but keep them on your backs we don't want to terrify any civilians."Larsan said loading his Tempest.

The team loaded there weapons and headed out into the only path they could take. The one leading to Choras Den.

They moved quickly and quietly along the path and as they reached the door they stopped and Garrus turned to the others "Don't try the hard Turian liquor it can put you in a coma." said Garrus with a smile.

This was received with a bout of laughter from the group.
"Nice one Vakarian." Said Decitis.

"My cousin tried that once, he was in a coma for three months and when he woke up he could speak Chinese."Exclaimed Carlos in his strong Mexican accent.

"What?"asked Luhan.

"Is true man he spoke fluent Mandarin and he hadn't even been to China."

"Ok..."Voruns said with a very confused expression "Let's get back to the mission.

Garrus activated the door and they entered to find all eyes trained on them. Choras Den was a known criminal hangout and the only c-sec operatives that you are likely to see in there are dirty.

"They aren't too fond of us down here." Whispered Garrus and as they walked through the door he could hear whispered murmurs of agreement from the rest of the group.

They walked strait towards the bar and at that moment all everyone stopped looking and continued their business. Addressing the Batarian barkeeper Garrus asked "Have you seen anything suspicious in Chora's Den."

"Yeah I have, we don't get large groups of c-sec officers in her, nor do we like to."

"Would you mind if we took a look in your back rooms?"Asked Larsan.

"I would mind very much!"responded the barkeeper staring daggers at the group.

"There is no need to get angry we merely want to check the back rooms and then we leave."Said Garrus gesturing towards the door that led into the back rooms.

Just then one of the Asari dancers walked over to the bar and asked the barkeeper "Is everything alright Kranith?"

The barkeeper Kranith backhanded the Asari in the face "You stupid blue BITCH now they know my name. Shut up and go and shake your money maker you blue whore."he snarled.

While the Asari girl walked off clutching her cheek and whimpering Garrus turned to Larsan with a smirk and asked "Hmmm what do yo think Larsan arrest him for assault and then come back with a warrant because we suspect a prostitution ring is being operated in the back rooms?"

"Ok I'll take you into the back rooms."
Kranith said with an all too happy smile on his face.

As they walked over to the door Carlos walked up beside Garrus and said "I suspect that this is bad time but I must toilet."

Luhan looked at Carlos and laughed "I think you best hold it Carlos."

When they reached the door two heavily armoured Krogans stepped out of the way to let them pass. Garrus noticed the grins on there faces and he knew, this was a trap.

Kranith gestured towards the guards and said "The one on the left is Paksor Grord and the one on the right is Nekrax Trizk."

"Nice to meet you." Garrus said, his face expressionless and neutral. He hoped his team had figured out it was a trap.

Kranith activated the door gestured for them to enter and then stepped back out of the way.

After what forever the doors began to open revealing a squad of eight consisting of three Krogans and five Vorcha, all with weapons trained on Garrus and his team and in front of them were two Varren snarling with bared teeth. All of them wearing the distinct red armour of the Blood Pack.

One of the Vorcha presumably the one in charge snarled "The boss says hi."

And with that their world was set ablaze.
