*PRESENT TENSE*
“Mom!” Darcy yelled in my ear, causing me to jump.
“What?” I grumbled, sitting up and trying to rub the sleep out of my eyes. I looked over at Harry. He was, of course, dead as a rock; not bothered at all by the high pitch of our daughter’s yelling.
“Get up!” She said, jumping up on the bed.
I looked at the clock. It was only seven-o-clock. “Why in the world are you up this early?”
She stopped jumping and plopped down on her butt. “Because you have to tell me the rest of the story!”
“Nobody’s even here yet.” I sighed.
She smiled evilly. “They will be though.”
I shook my head. When Darcy wanted something, she got it. “Alright, just let me wake up your father.” Without a word, she jumped off the bed and ran out the room.
I looked over at my husband and smirked. He was so going to regret not waking up. I scooted up to his ear and whispered. “Harry, honey, it’s time to get up.” He didn’t budge. I leaned back. “It’s your fault.” I said to him and stood up on the bed. I started obnoxiously jumping up and down. “Harry!” I yelled. “It’s time to get up!” I jumped some more, and then jumped down so I was basically on top of him.
He rolled over, mumbling some incoherent things and slowly pealed his eyes open. “Does this bring back memories or what?” He said smirking at me. I rolled my eyes. Even when he’s half asleep, he’s still the biggest flirt on the planet.
“It’s time to get up.” I stated. “Orders from that lovely daughter of yours.”
“Of mine?” He questioned, raising a brown eyebrow. I nodded. “Well,” he sighed. “I can’t really get up with the position you’re in.” He said, motion to my body sitting on top of him. I started to get up, but he grabbed my waist. “Unless, of course, you had other things in mind?” He inquired.
I pretended to contemplate it, and then shook my head. “Nah, maybe later.” Then got up off him and started towards the bathroom.
“Even after all these years you’re still a tease!” He called after me.
I giggled. “Love you!” Then shut the bathroom door and got in the shower.
*PAST TENSE*
“No.” I grumbled to Ellie. Snatching my phone from her and throwing it across from me onto the other couch.
“Come on.” She sighed dramatically. “You can’t ignore him forever.”
I glared at her. “Watch me.”
If you ever date a famous person, do not, I repeat, DO NOT, watch celebrity gossip shows. It never ends well. I had been flipping through the channels with El, and happened to come across Insider. I stopped for a minute. I can’t really say if it was good timing, or bad timing. Bad because I saw something I didn’t want to see, and good because if I didn’t I wouldn’t of known.
Not even more than a second after I stopped on the channel did Harry’s face appear on the screen. I turned up the volume, curiosity taking the best of me, and watched.
“Maybe we should change the channel.” Ellie had said hesitantly. I ignored her and continued to watch.
The lady that was speaking, showed a picture of Harry, but he wasn’t alone. The lady said that the girl that was tucked under his arm, was a French model named Liana.
Ellie reached over and tried to grab the remote. I snatched my hand back and glared at her, then focused my eyes back on the TV. If my eyes could burn things, there’d be a whole through the TV and the wall behind it. I was so infuriated.
