RECAP:

There, right in front of me. Not more than twenty feet away, stood a gorgeous Harry in front of the prettiest scene I’ve ever seen.

*PAST TENSE*

My breath got caught in my throat as I stared at the scene in front of me. It was breathtaking. I have a gazebo in my backyard that is also used as the pool deck, and right now, it was beautiful. It was decorated in a bunch of Christmas lights. There were candles sitting all around it on the ledge. All the lights twinkled in the night and reflected off the pool, making it seem enchanting.

I tore my eyes away from the gazebo and looked at the beautiful British boy in front of me. I don’t care what anyone says; this boy was completely and utterly flawless! He stood on the middle step to get up to the gazebo with a single rose in his hand. I looked up at his face. He was smiling a nervous smile at me. Why should he be nervous? He’s Harry flipping Styles! If anyone should be nervous, it’s me, and I definitely am!

Remembering that I was still standing in the same spot, I started, hesitantly, moving forward. I was walking slowly giving myself a mental pep-talk. “Hello, love.” Harry said when I had finally made it to him. The butterflies this boy could produce was unreal!

“Harry,” I began, shaking my head. “This is beautiful.” I finished looking up at him.

He smiled, and held out his hand, I took it, and we made our way up the steps. “Not as beautiful as you though.” He said handing me the rose.

Now that I was closer, and Harry wasn’t blocking the view to the inside, I could see what was in the gazebo. The table had been set up with snack type food, consisting of grapes, blueberries, Oreos, pretzels, and what looked to be fruit punch in wine glasses. I started giggling. I couldn’t help it. I looked at Harry questioningly.

He cleared his throat and tugged at his shirt. “None of us can cook, and we didn’t really have time to cook anything. Plus it’s not really a meal eating time, unless you’re Niall” He said pulling one of the chairs out for me to sit in.

            “Thank you.” I said sitting.

“If you don’t like it..” He said, but I stopped him.

“Don’t like it?” I asked in disbelief. “This is the sweetest thing anyone’s ever done for me. And it makes it even better considering the circumstances!” I smiled. “How did you even do this?” I asked gesturing to everything.

“Well,” He started, while I skipped right over the healthy food, and grabbed an Oreo, smirking at him in the process. Oreos are my weakness. “when you were on the phone with El, I explained to the boys that I really did like you. It’s crazy, because I just met you today, but I do. They were really skeptical at first, saying that I just thought you were attractive and I was confusing it with having real feelings. I knew that wasn’t it though. After telling them how you made me feel, before they got there, they knew I wasn’t confusing anything. They asked if I’d told you, and I hadn’t, so then we came up with this.” He smiled. “Before you’d even answered me. Its our first date!”

“You weren’t nervous I’d say no?” I asked out of curiosity.

“Actually, I was extremely nervous you’d reject me.” He said honestly. “You don’t understand how happy I was when you didn’t.” He leaned forward and grabbed my hand. I blushed, and smiled at it.
