It implies that a mother's love is limited and that if a puppy is cute enough, she will abandon her babies and get as many puppies as she can.

Have these people never seen Miss Saigon? Kim literally kills the guy she was supposed to marry because her little boy was in danger.

Unfortunately, not all women are fit to be mothers-and the same can be said for fathers.

MATERNAL INSTINCTS ARE POWERFUL.

There's a reason you don't mess with Mama Bears.

NOTHING and I repeat, NOTHING CAN COMPARE TO THE LOVE OF A MOTHER OR FATHER TOWARDS THEIR CHILD.

There NEVER has been and NEVER WILL BE any puppy that can rival that.
