*Y/n's POV*
*This story takes place one year after Depth Charge defeats Rampage during the events of To Help a Heart Return Home*
*six months after rescue*

"There are no such things as demons," said Y/n's mom to her daughter when she was five years old. Well she was wrong. There are such things as demons and they were very real. Y/n had the unfortunate luck of getting captured and experimented on for six months by one. A Decepticon by the name of Shockwave. Because of him, Y/n now had a cybernetic arm that replaced her entire right arm and she suffered a split personality because of an energon leak, which he caused, in order to see the effects of Energon in a slow release to the human body. Because of that, Y/n heard voices in her head.

The voices, depending on her mental state, were always angry. Always yelling, always yelling, ALWAYS YELLING!!! Why were they always yelling? What did she ever do to deserve this?! Despite what happened, Y/n was able to, with some help, had gotten a job at Botanica's Greenery and Greenhouse. Y/n felt safe there except when the voices started to yell at her.

Y/n covers her ears. "Go away...." She was at work but ended up having an episode. Now she's hiding in one of the corners of the greenhouse.

Y/n tries to tune out the voices but they start to get louder and louder.

Up front, on the other side of the counter, were a few concerned customers who were worried about Y/n. "Will she be okay?" One of them asks.

"Not sure this time. Depends on how bad the voices are," said Botanica.

"Voices? How bad?" One of tbe customers asks. It was an older gentleman, in his late forties. "Is it PTSD?"

"Yeah it is...well we think it is. Not really sure if it is or not. She decided to join the National Guard right out of high school and barely a year later, her squad and base gets attacked. She's the only survivor."

The gentlemen looks around the corner to the greenhouse. "Could I try to talk to her?" It was Mr. Edward Bishop. The last time he was at the greenhouse was for a funeral order.

"If you can get her out of that corner and try to talk to her, I'll give you half off your purchase." Botanica opens the door for Edward. "Don't try to scare her too bad. I'd rather not you get hurt."

"I'll try not to," said Edward before he goes into the greenhouse.

"You alright, kid?" Edward asks when he finds Y/n.

A new voice? Not one of the voices....Y/n looks up and sees Edward.

"Mind if I sit next to you?"

Y/n scoots over a little so Edward can sit by her.

"I know you don't want to talk about what happened but I want you to know you are not alone. Yes it ruins your life and makes it hard to live with. But living with PTSD doesn't mean you are not able to live a normal life. It doesn't control you. You control it."

Y/n looks over at Edward. "The voices like to yell at me..."

"Well tell those voices they can suck it and let you get back to work. Your bosses are worried about you as well as a few customers. If you want I can teach you a trick or two on how to ignore those voices."

*time skip to later that evening*

The voices were quiet now because of Edward's help. Y/n was back home. She lived on a ranch on the outskirts of Paradise Falls. Tarn had helped her get the house in order to help recover away from other people or Cybertronions in case she has an episode where her split personality shows. Y/n looks down at her right arm. The armor platting glints in the setting sun of her cybernetic arm. The platting was black and purple, matching the color scheme of the one who had gave it to her. "Shockwave should have killed me when he had the chance."

Y/n knew there was no chance in Hell she'd get her revenge against Shockwave. She was barely able to function outside her own home let alone on her own sometimes when the voices get really bad. Tarn offered to help on her on his days off. But that was only on the weekends. He would come over and stay. They would stay up for hours just to talk, mostly about nonsense, just to help Y/n cope with what was going on. Y/n also knew Tarn was a living lie detector so she would try telling the truth. But what's the points of telling the truth when you were as broken as she was.

Tarn was learning, with Estella's help, that humans always lie. It's when the lie will hurt someone is when its not okay. Estella and Tarn both worked at the animal shelter, which has been renamed Ark's Hope. Y/n liked that. Made it seem that there will always be good in the world....

Y/n winces in pain at the sudden outburst from the voices. She wanted to end it all but didn't want to make Tarn sad. Could Tarn be sad? She could never tell what emotion he was feeling because of the mask he wore. She should go to the animal shelter and see if she can get a dog or at least an emotional support dog. Tarn did mention that there was a wolf dog available for adoption but both him and Estella were looking for someone special to adopt the dog. "I think Tarn said the dog's name was Lobo or maybe it was Logan..." Y/n decides to turn in early for the night and try to sleep. She wanted to get up early and go to Ark's Hope before too many people showed up. "It would be nice to have a dog around here. Besides the chickens and the horse..." Y/n heads upstsirs to her room, scratching her sharp digits along the wall, leaving a trail of claw marks on the wall. It was routine for her to do this and strangely enough the voices didn't wake her up at night when she clawed the wall before going to bed. "Strange indeed...."
