*Rampage's POV*

Rampage sat in his holding cell beneath Primus University. A special holding cell had to be made for him since he broke containment from the last one. Ebony wasn't able to keep her promise and visit him when she could. Travel became a bit more expensive since she lives on the Islands now. Primitive human technology couldn't hold him. He pulls at his bindings on his hands and feet, testing their strength. "Going to be a while before these break..." Rampage returns his attention to the data pad which sat on his bed. It was the last thing his friend, Trans-Mutate, owned and the last thing he had to hear her voice again. He has been slowly coming to terms about her death. He closely guarded it and never let it out of his sight. Rampage wished he could have spoken to her one last time before her passing.

Sasha, Tarantulas's sparkmate, brought him the data pad after his defeat and capture by Depth Charge. He didn't know where Sasha found the data pad, but Rampage is greatful she did. He would never admit it though. Rampage was shaken from his train of thought when he hears a set of footsteps coming down the hallway. Eventually the person comes into view. It was Tarn. "What do you want, old man?!" Rampage snaps.

"Got a proposition for you. A chance to earn your freedom, so to say."

"I'm listening." Rampage had to choose his words carefully. Tarn could make his voice sync with the pulse of his spark and kill him if he wanted to.

"It's more of a job actually. Your job is to live with Y/n, my adopted daughter, and be her body guard. On top of that you are to make sure she goes to her monthly support group, despite the fact it doesn't help much."

"You mean the girl with Cybertronion tech for an arm? Been wondering how she got it the last time I had seen her. Now why should I help her out?" Rampage sees that Tarn was staring at him intently, which could either be a good thing or a bad thing. "There's more too it, isn't there?"

"I need someone, who is as broken as her, to help hed control her instability. That arm of hers is leaking energon into her system and causes mood swings and a personality split to boot. Or what we believe to be a personality split. I need you to try and teach her to control it before the violent tendencies take over."

"What makes you thing I'm in control?" Rampage asks with a smirk.

"I can make you live the rest of your life a living hell," said Tarn. His voice changes in tone.

Rampage feels his spark hitch in his chest. His breathing becomes ragged. He knew what Tarn was doing and if he wasn't careful, it would hurt like hell. Tarn has the ability to make his voice sync up with another Cybertronions spark, by doing so, make it explode in their chest. But in Rampage's case, it would hurt like hell and hurt worse once he came back to life.

"I can go to more draconian methods if you'd rather stay here and rot."

Ramlage feels his spark falter in his chest. Tarn wasn't playing around. "Fine I'll help. How bad of a personality split are we talking about or what you think to be one."

"I've seen it happen a couple of times. She ended up scaring Kaon and Vos so bad that they refused to step foot in my house for about a month out of fear."

"That bad, huh? And here I thought nothing could scare those two." Rampage couldn't help but laugh on the inside at the fact a small human scared two of the Decepticon Justice Devision.

"Like I said, you will help her or becoming offline will be the least of your worries." Tarn walks away from the cell door.

"He still can't kill me," said Rampage as he lays back down on the bed. He puts the data pad under his pillow, keeping it safe.

*Y/n's POV*

Y/n was up in her room browsing on her phone, opening a dating app called Zoosk. She had managed to match with someone that has the same interests as her, even if he was a couple years older than her. She had just turned nineteen a few days ago. The guy she matched with on Zoosk, was twenty-one years old, which wasn't too bad of an age gap. "I can't wait!" Y/n texts the guy, asking him where he wanted to meet at tomorrow. She found it a bit odd that he wanted to go meet at one of the bars. She texts him again to remind she is still underage and cannot drink. Y/n sets her phone down but not before turning it to silent. She gets out of her chair and....

I̻̙̤̰̺͟t̗̫̟̕'̛̪̮̱̫̳̩s̨̲̳͖̳ ̳͎̺̩̫a̫͖̫͓̝͉ ̤̖͙̱̹͠ț̗r̻̹̤a̡͕͈͓̝͚̼p͙̠͈̙̹!̰͍͎͚̯

Y/n winces in pain and a confused look appears on her face. The voices didn't warn her of things like this. Usually they would talk her down. "That is strange." She sits back down in the chair. "Any more foreshadowing?!" Silence. Nothing but silence. "Talk about rude," said Y/n. She gets up from the chair once again and she heads downstairs. Tarn was going to be stopping by to help her feed the chickens as well as bring more stuff for Lobo.

Y/n heads outside and heads to the backyard where the chicken coop was. Even though she lived on a ranch, she still didn't have a lot of animals. She had at least six chickens which were all Silky Bantams, or walking cotton balls as Y/n called them. She had one horse, which was a chestnut red Fresian stalion named Myztic. Y/n ended up inheriting the horse from her uncle, whom was one of the few of her family, that's human, who'll still visits her from time to time.

As Y/n makes her way to the chicken coop, all six chickens come running towards her, clucking away and excited to be fed. Y/n laughs at their antics. Tarn knew it was a good idea to work with animals. It was one of the few times neither the voices or her personality split shows. Little did she knew, it wasn't a personality split. She'll find out later on...

Tarn pulls his car up in the driveway and shuts it off. He could hear Y/n was at the chicken coop. "At least she's happy." He makes his way to the backyard. "Seems the chickens are happy," said Tarn.

"Yeah. They were pretty excited to see me. Mind feeding them so I can collect the eggs?"

"Sure. You sound happy. What happened?"

"I have a date set up for tomorrow night and I hope it goes well. Plus I hope that I don't scare him off."

"Even if you do, there are other fish in the sea. You'll find someone who likes you for yourself and not for what they want."

"Yeah well my luck with guys so far since I've been home hasn't been good. So I'm hoping this one goes well."

Tarn hears the lie in Y/n's voice in the end. Her confidence in herself dwindled at times because of that arm of hers. Last guy she tried to date wanted to use her to rob people blind. By blood, even though Y/n wasn't his, he will try to make it so she's happy.

*for those of you wondering about Tarn, I do know for a fact that he is not like a living lie detector. I like the idea of him being one in the AU for The Heart Series*
