She was awakened by a sting on her lower back, definitely a hit by Umma or Zainab. She rubbed her eyes to wave away the sleep, and oh standing before her was Sadiya with an evil smirk on her face.
Seriously!
This girl can be a devil sister sometimes, unfortunately for her today is one of those days.
"You left me with no option than to smack you, you'd been sleeping and snoring and I've been waiting for you to wake up since forever" Sadiya stated muffling her laughter.
Liar!
"Why are you here early in the morning it's the weekend" Safna retorted
"You told me yesterday that Umma and her little brat are traveling today so I came here to take you out, let's go and have some fun" she winked
She almost forgot that she have a trouble-free day ahead, yay!
"But where exactly are we going?" Safna asked as she dusted and made her mattress.
"We're going to the sultan's palace, you know a turbaning ceremony is going on" Safna almost hissed after hearing her response.
She hates royalty with her all, though she has no reason to do so, while her best friend is obsessed with the whole idea of royalty.
"I have no outfit that suits those types of occasions," She said in other to make Sadiya change her mind, but it's the truth she had no fancy outfits.
"That's been taken care of, go and take your bath please you stink!" Safna almost insulted her but decided against that for she had no time to waste.
She trudged into the room to meet Sadiya with a black abaya hung on her shoulder.
It's the same design as the one she had on.
"I know this will look good on you," she said passing her the abaya.
"Where do you get that abaya from" Safna asked as she rubbed the remnants of her pomade on her skin.
"Baba sent money yesterday and I decided to get us this, because why not?" She wiggled her eyebrows
"I'm not complaining but don't you get anything else to do wi..." she didn't get to finish her statement when Sadiya cut her off with a hot glare.
That's what happened all the time. she's not being ungrateful or egoistic but she doesn't like the idea of Sadiya getting her stuff.
She knows that she also needs the money since it's not everything that she'd be asking her uncle to get her.
Sadiya might try to hide her pains with her jokes and smiles, but Safna could see through those smiles and laughter.
It's not easy staying away from your parent even when you know they're alive.
That's a whole level of torture!

Algaita
The sound of an instrument she'd hate, she knew not the reason for the hate tho.
All she knew was that the sound of it created a lot of ruckus in her head which always led to a bad thing.
The event is going well, as a lot of entertainment is being displayed.
"What? Is this an illusion or real? a real-life mermaid" She heard a dramatic husky voice from above her cutting her trance.
She knew no doubt that he'd referred to her, for this was not the first time someone had called her with such.
Why?
No reason but her eye color mirrored the color of the sea.
A lot of people called her aljanar ruwa or mami water (mermaid), for no other reason than her looks and her mysterious and weird lifestyle.
The guy held her tight with his intense gaze making her squirm in her seat uncomfortably.
She abruptly rose from her seat while Sadiya grumble but had no choice but to follow her.
Safna's insecurity about her own mysterious life had always discouraged her from socializing.
she can't live like a normal human being even if she wanted to and so she gave up.
"You freaking snubbed a prince you fool" Sadiya smack her arm.
She ignored her best friend and silently prayed for herself, she feared something tragic might happen like always with the way her head felt heavy at the moment.
She indulged in saying every azkar that crossed her mind, for she believed that only Allah could save her at the moment.

Daura Palace, Nigeria"Mummy even if this would be the last favor you'd do to me on earth please!" A lady clad in a navy blue evening dress begged.
The woman being addressed turned her gaze away from her desperate daughter and instructed the maids to leave for she needed privacy.
"Tasneem I've made up my mind, you either go to Oxford or stay here with me," she said with a fierce and majestic voice.
"I won't be alone in Istanbul Aysha and Iman are going there too" she pressed.
There's no way she'd go to the UK and stay with that monster cousin.
"You have to understand my reason, your cousins are there and the UK is like a second home, you'll be safe there"
That's it, she knew it already! She'll never be a free bird again, not with the insecurity engulfing her family's being.
"But you know how Hammad hated me, my life will be oppressed there" She's not about to give up.
She won't deny the fact that stubbornness runs in their blood, she's her mother's daughter after all!
"Noor! Leave my side before I lose it all"
She rose to leave with one thing running in her mind, she's no coward and she never gave up.
All she knew was that she'd rather not study at all than go to the UK.
Do you think we're going somewhere? I want to hear your opinion please!❤️
With love,
