One year leapRiyadh, Saudi Arabia
Princess Noura bint Abdurrahman University. The class was full of girls only as everyone minded their business while some were discussing in groups.
Not long after an Arab man walked through the door with some files and some other staff walked behind him.
The man had a tag on his coat with the name Dr.Rasheed written on it, and the classes and the presentation began.
"As promised all the medicine students in the first year are having their presentation today, you know every fresher has to take this in their first year or preparatory year as we call it, this will determine which field of medicine you have to take and specialize on from your second year" Dr.Rasheed explains further.
"Ameera Batoul bint Abdullah is the first on our list here so come forward" Ameerah Batoul instantly gets up and headed to the stage, then proceeded with her speech.
"Assalamu alaikum warahmatullahi wa barakatuhu," she inhales a deep breath as the class chorus an answer.
"I'm Fadimatu Batoul bint Abdallah, And I'm here to make my presentation on the topic 'neuron', first I'll like to explain what neurons are. The neuron is the basic working unit of the brain and they are also called nerve cells, Neurons are divided into four major types: unipolar, bipolar, multipolar, and pseudo-unipolar. Unipolar neurons have only one structure...."
That's how she went on to explain and answer some questions from her colleagues and she managed to answer them all with the knowledge she had.
The presentation continues as the judges write down the marks.
And after another round of twenty students, they'd a five-minute break and resume afterward.
"The next person on my list now is Safna bint Faruq" he read out the name of the next person.
Upon hearing her name she could swear her heart almost explode and fly out of her chest.

Oxford University, England
She lazily walks out of the lecture hall and sighs, she reaches for a public bench and sits as she relaxes, just in queue when her cousin arrives.
"Do you know for how long I've been waiting for you idiot here" she rants as she glares at her.
"Ahh ah sorry my love, we were delayed by our lecturer"
"Let's go away before I lose it, I'm hungry" They walked quietly to the bus stop to get a bus or a cab.
Shortly after they got a cab and told him the address, the driver was silent as each one of them used her phone, the drive wasn't long since their apartment wasn't that far from the school.
"Tasneem can I borrow your phone? I want to call Trisha I can't reach her with my phone" Hayra gently asks the hungry lady seating beside her, she knows not to talk a lot in order not to piss her off, hungry tasneem is never a good sight.
She passed her the phone without sparing her a glance, architecture is indeed messing up with her mental health, she's just in her first year which makes her wonder how it will be after this year, might as well run mad before she gets to finish with the degree, and bruh don't even think of it she ain't given up that's not her words.
On reaching their apartment she headed directly to the kitchen to look for something to feed her already grumbling stomach, it's in moments like this she gets to appreciate the presence of their cook more.
Since they're living in Hamma Hammad's apartment things are much easier for them, even though Tasneem always tries to hide herself if he's around as he requests, it feels like he's not her cousin anymore they seem like strangers to each other, she can vividly recall when they came here and he warned her against crossing his path.
Fresh tears runout of her eyes as she recall all those bitter sweet memories, that wasn't the end of it, there's a day she'd nightmare and was wailing but when he came to her room he shout at her and ask her to shut it then afterwards laughed it off saying she deserved what she's going through.
What she calls her life at Oxford? Nothing but a living hell, maybe she'll just go back home and continue her studies in her country or go to her Adda suhailas at Jeddah and continue her studies there.
Everything in England is haunting her, that's where she lived the better part of her life and spend her childhood, then her father was the crowned prince so he use to work here before his father passed away and he was summoned to come and collect his throne.
