Sitting in the only place she finds solace, which is the river bank, she stared into space with different thoughts in her mind, she left home for here after fighting with one of Zainab's bratty friends which resulted in the girl calling her 'tsintacciyar mage'.She'd heard a lot of that, but whenever someone called her it hurt like a fresh cut.
Albeit she might never get used to it or any of the other physical and mental abuses she faces.
"Hey beauty" she heard someone call behind her and she was quick to jump because almost every little thing scared her even though she tried to hide it.
Standing before her is none but a well-built lad casually dressed but he carries on this sophisticated aura with him.
'Lower your gaze' her subconscious scolded her and she was quick to do so muttering an astagfirullah under her breath.
That face, she knows it somewhere but she can't say exactly where she knows the face was it in her dreams or her crazy imagination that she can't tell.
"Lost in your thoughts again beauty" he asked with an amused expression
She tried to remember where she knew the face but came up with nothing, so she resorted to shrugging.
"I'm hurt, you mean you can't remember me, ocean blue eyes," he asked feigning hurt with a hand on his chest
Now she can recall where she knows him, it's none other but the prince, the son to the sultan of Sokoto but she's not ready to show him that she will just feign ignorance she's very good at that.
"Okay since you can't remember me, I'm Prince Salim from the great kingdom of Sokoto and you're Safna" Hearing her name she abruptly looked up surprised.
"Surprise huh, I have my ways" he bragged dusting the nonexistent dust on his shoulders.
"Innalillahi I'm dead, so now your bitchy behavior has now moved to another level because you're too big for the men you're following around here you have to start following the princes, yau ni nashiga uku safna yariman ma" they heard the unexpected voice of Umma.
Safna moved her gaze from the prince to her fuming mother.
"Umma wallahi ba haka bane, I was sitting here when he came"Safna cried hoping her mother would buy that.
"Ke get up let's go kuma zaki gane kuren ki ne"
Salim couldn't help but wonder how dramatic this woman sounded, she looked like someone that escaped from the asylum.
"Ohh mother in-love it's so nice to meet you " he sassed
She glared at him not minding whoever he was because how dare he?!
She'll be damned to let Safna enjoy even a little from the many bounties of this world.

"Tell me where you know Yarima and this is the last time am asking you this" Umma asked again beating her more
She couldn't tell her, for she'd rather die than drag Sadeeya into her family drama.
"Assalamu alaikum" she heard Sadeeya salaamed
Sadeeya turned her gaze to her best friend that's helplessly lying on the floor, with her eyes a mixture of ice and fire.
"Umma good evening, how is your day going, ah I see you're enjoying it since you're having a party here"Sadeeya being the sarcastic lady she is retorted
She doesn't like this woman and deep down she knows she's not Safna's mother but she can't say it since she's still not sure and what contributed to her doubt was how Safna and Umma look alike in weird and mysterious ways.
"Haven't I banned you from coming to this house you mannerless girl" See who's talking about manners when her bratty daughter lacks that, Sadeeya thought.
"Sadeeya don't you dare spit rubbish to my mother" Safna warned.
"But she don't act like one" Sadeeya fired
She knows she'll end up having a fight with her friend which is very rare but she needs to put some sense into this woman's head about how can she act violently towards her daughter.
"Halimatu Sadeeya leave my house right now!"Safna said angrily surprised at her outburst towards her friend but she was left with no choice,
Sadeeya needs to know that she can't act disrespectfully towards her mother after all she's the victim here not her.
"And for your information, you're getting married to my choice whether you like it or not immediately after your WAEC exams and that's final, "Umma said stomping out of the house
Sadeeya didn't know when she ran to where her friend was and hugged her crying sharing their pain in their whimpers, Safna knows she doesn't deserve a friend like Sadeeya because she's too good for her, after telling her to leave her house she's still here sharing her pain with her she knows Sadeeya is an angel in human form and she can't trade her for the world.
Is this chappy a yay or nay I know it's somehow uneventful but I hope you'll manage.
