A long awaited love

Part Three

Erin's POV;

I looked at jay in pure shock "Oh Jay I'm so so sorry...I'm here for you and I can mind Lily so that you can go and visit your mom...I'm so sorry I couldn't help sooner, I-I had no idea..." Jay looked at me with tears in his eyes and he said "It's fine Erin honestly I don't want you to blame yourself. I just didn't want to hassle anyone..." I sighed a bit and hugged Jay. "I'm so so sorry Jay. I'll watch Lily go and see your mom please..." I whispered in his ear. Lily poked her head up between us "ME?!" She squealed. I laughed a bit under my breath "Yes you silly girl." I poked her tummy again gently and looked at Jay again. "Please go visit your mom Jay..."

Jay's POV;

I nodded a bit "Thank you Erin..." I sniffled and kissed Lily's head and grabbed my jacket from the couch. I looked at Erin and smiled a bit and left my house to go to med and visit my mom. I sat talking with my mom for hours and hours on end. I just wanted to make sure she knows how much I love and carer about her, because she was really my only parent figure in the house when me and my brother will were little, as my dad would drink a lot and he was violent when he was drunk, we could do something so small that would just annoy him so much and his first instinct would be to throw a punch. My mom however always tried her very best but me and will being stubborn Halstead's we never let her get hurt, well until we went to bed. We would wake up and our mom would be covered in bruises and cuts and he would just say she fell, or the dog scratched her, but as me and will got older we got a better knowledge of what was going on around the house.

Erin's POV;

I was walking down the stairs with Lily and she fell down the last few steps. My heart instantly sunk as I heard the screams of her pain. I picked her up quickly into my arms and held her close "Shhh its okay baby girl its okay." I rocked her and tried to soothe her as much as a could not having a clue how to deal with toddlers. Lily just cried into my chest, my heart was breaking for her but I honestly had no idea what to do to help her. I puts her down on the couch and patted down her body to check for sore spots, Lily yelped as I touched her wrist. "Damnit." I muttered under my breath before picking her up again. I got an ice pack and placed it on her wrist gently. Lily cried more and tried to push the ice off. "Its going to help you baby girl, its going to help your arm feel better." I took her out to my car and drove her to med still not informing Jay on what had happened to his daughter.

Jay's POV;

I heard the heart breaking squeals of my daughter from another room, I jumped up without even thinking and jogged out to the sound of her painful screams. "L-Lily sweetie where are you?!" I was in panic mode I knew I could trust Erin with her but toddlers can be a handful. I got to Lily "Hey babygirl its okay daddy's here what happened baby???" I just watched Lily in Erin's arms as she screamed and cried in pain. I gripped my shaky hands around my daughter and pulled her close into me and took her straight to a room neglecting Erin.
