Not Dating?

After talking a little more, we agreed to not tell anyone - yet - that we were soulmates for safety reasons. We might be in a school for heroes but that didn't mean everyone stayed the course.

We would tell people that we were good friends and just trying to figure things out, not necessarily dating but not available. I think the boys were more worried about this than I was, wanting others to know that I wasn't on the market.

We walked to class with our hands intertwined and I could not focus, I was a hot mess and it showed. Bakugo was teasing me incessantly about my red face and I ended up smacking him.

"Oi, what the hell was that? I know you can hit harder than that." Growling unintelligibly, I stomped off, trying to put distance between me and the laughing male.

Entering the classroom, I made a beeline for Mina's desk and plopped on top of it, not even caring that Kirishima was staring at my bare legs.

"Mina, I need some girl time! When are you moving in?" She about lost her mind and we decided that all the girls would eat lunch together today. They all agreed and Kirishima started whining, throwing an arm around our shoulders.

"Awe, I want to join in on girl talk!" I pushed his head to dislodge him and glanced up as my boys walked in, deep in conversation. They both frowned when they saw me basically fighting the redhead off like a rabid dog. I let him go and he glomped back on me but was quickly yanked back by the yelling blond.

We all ignored them and started planning out where we would sit for lunch. We didn't want the boys trying to snoop on us. Yaoyorozu spoke up, saying there was a table that was slightly off to the side, closer to the teacher's table.

We decided on that and I hopped into my seat right before Mr. Aizawa dragged himself in. Kirishima reached back, a note clutched between his fingers. I discreetly grabbed it, not missing the glare Bakugo shot our way or the wink Mina threw my way.

I almost didn't read it but curiosity had me dying. The note was from Kaminari and I almost busted out laughing at his cheesy pick up line, asking if I wanted to hang out after class.

Mr. Aizawa popped up right next to me and I released a god-awful screech, throwing up a leg and an arm in defense.

The class burst into laughter as I apologized profusely, handing over the note without even being asked for it. He opened it and proceeded to read it, I snorted as his eyes grew round. When he shot me another glare, I couldn't help but explain myself.

"I think I had the same reaction as you did. It's super cheesy, right?" If he wasn't too worried about his image, I think he would have laughed.

"Kaminari, no passing notes. Detention after classes. Ren, if you accept another note, you'll be next." Nodding my head vigorously, I mouthed a quick thank you to him and turned forward.

It took every ounce of my self-control not to throw my pencil at Mina as she wiggled her eyebrows at me behind the teacher's back.

Lunch couldn't come soon enough. When the bell rang, releasing us from our prison, I grabbed Hagakure and we absolutely booked it to our designated table - being the designated table holders. The others joined us after grabbing us food, Yaoyorozu buying us what we had requested.

"Alright, girl!" Mina squealed. "Tell us what's on your mind."

I buried my head in my hands and said one word. Boys.

The girls were instantly all over it, wanting more details ASAP. Before I could think of how to word my woes, Kirishima popped up begging to join us. Mina quite literally chased him off with a spoon full of something he clearly hated. I've never seen someone run away so quickly.
