*Guy's P.O.V*

Grug chases me across a trembling landscape.

"This is pointless. We're running out of time. Everything is collapsing. You're being irrational and counterproductive." I try to negotiate.

"Big words anger me. Keep talking." Grug roars at me.

"Countermeasures." I slightly joke back.

Belt throws fruit at Grug. The fruit hits Grug square in the face. He's blinded. He doesn't stop.

"Remember how you were this morning? You changed, remember? Idea man? Modern man?" I try to convince him.

Guy comes to a sudden stop - he's stepped in a small puddle of tar. Grug wipes his eyes clean of fruit.

"I... am... a... CAVEMAN!" Grug once again roars. Man this guy has a temper.

"No, no, no wait." I shot as I spot a tar pool in front of me.

Grug and I do a slow-motion PLUNGE over a tar-fall. As we descend Grug swings at me, coating himself with tar. Grug's arms are held like glue. His punches stop well short of my face. Me and Grug arrive in a wide pool of tar. We sink slowly.

"Hnnnnnngh! No. What is this stuff that saves you from my punches?" Grug whines.

"Tar." I simply state, defeated.

The tone of my voice sinks in. Grug ceases his attack.

"Please Grug. You have to stop struggling." I plead sadly.

"No. I have to get back to them." Grug fights back.

"Grug! Stop!" I shout fead up.

Grug looks to me.

"No one gets out of this. Believe me. I know." I tell him, sad.

"Your...?" Grug starts.

"Family. Yeah." I reluctantly tell him.

"Sorry." Grug mutters.

Grug looks at me again, he needs more than that. I takes a deep breath, this is going to be hard.

"I was little when it happened. The last thing my parents told me was, 'Don't hide. Live. Follow the Sun. You'll make it to Tomorrow.'"

I guess this resonates with Grug. A thread of light trickles through the storm, falling just near enough to Guy he can gather it in his palm.

"You followed the light. My kids are a lot like you." Grug tells me with a small laugh.

"No. Their like you. They love you but always forgets to say it. Just like you forget to tell them." I tell him, meeting his eyes.

"You really think my two kids love me? even after what they said?" Grug questions me.

"Not two kids, three kids. Y/n may not be your flesh and blood but don't be fooled, they do love you." I remind him, smiling at the thought of my lion cub.

Grug ponders this. A change comes over Grug. He focuses on me. This hits Grug hard.

"I guess I was just busy keeping them all alive." Grug sighs, defeated.

I think for a minuet.

"It's okay. That's what Dads do." I reassure him.

Grug smiles. He regards me in a different light. He sees me not as a boy but a man. Someone good enough for his kids.

"That's right... but we can't do that from here. We need one of your ideas." Grug hints.

I try to think for a moment, coming up with nothing.

"Come on. You can do it." Grug urges.

Buoyed by Grug's encouragement, I swing into action mode.

"Belt! Emergency Idea Generator, activate!" I rush turing to my furry friend.

Belt hits me in the head with a rock.

"Ow!" I yell "I've got it!"

We are tracking with the Macawnivore. Suddenly, the big cat stops. His eyebrows raise.

"TA-DAAAAA" Belt says showing us a puppet.

"Wow." Grug says very unamused.

"Yeah, I know. But he's doing the best with what he has. Let's go." I reason with hope.

Grug and I are holding bones connected to the puppet. Belt signal to me.

"There he is. Belt, I want romance, drama, sincerity. Move me." I tell my friend.

Belt makes music, which grabs the Macawnivore's attention.

"Okay he sees us!" I tell Grug.

Belt plays a little melodramatic tune. Grug halfheartedly moves the bones he's holding.

"That's our cue. Now work it!" I say enthusiastically.

The puppet starts shaking its tail.

"He's not coming over. I don't think our puppet looks scared enough." I tell Grug, starting to losing hope.

"Scared? I'll show you scared. Hand me those acting sticks!" Grug huffs grabbing the puppet.

Grug shakes the puppet and makes a frightening sound of terror. Suddenly, the Macawnivore leaps forward and jumps on the puppet. He grabs it and pulls it up out of the tar, bringing Grug and I along with it. Grug and I hang on to the bones of the puppet frame. The Macawnivore shakes the puppet, pulling it out of the tar along with Grug and I.

"Hold on!" I shout to Grug.

The puppet breaks apart, the Macawnivcore turns to Grug and I. He is not pleased.

"Da da daaaaaa..." Belt sings.

The Macawnivore dashes towards us. We try to run from him. The Macawnivore's paws slip slowly backwards into the nearby tar--he's stuck. The tar snaps him back and throws him far from Grug and I. Belt blows a whistle signalling a field goal!

"Yes. You did it!"Grug shouts.

Grug pats me on the back. Grug realizes his hand is stuck to my back.

*Your P.O.V*

We come running to help them.

"Grug." Ugga calls, seeing him safe.

"Dad!" Thunk yells happily.

Grug and Guy turns to see the rest of us. Grug waves to the family with Guy stuck to his hand.

"Hey, we're okay!" Guy yells getting unstuck to Grug's hand.

We stop to take this in.

"Yeah, we're okay." Guy repeats as I walk up to him and give him a big bear hug.

The ground shakes violently. Meteors stream across the sky.

"Grug. Your call." Guy tells the man while still holding onto me.

Grug knows his answer.

"Take us to Tomorrow." Grug says confidently.
