"Haru- Rose, my dear, you know you cannot call me that anymore.." Layka ran her hands through her hair, letting out an almost pained sigh as she paced the kitchen. Why did Haruka always have to push things?

"Layks, we aren't in public anymore.. I don't want to call you Violet. It's not you." Haruka folded her arms, sitting up on the counter and swinging her legs. "I'm not Rose. I'm Haruka." She sighed, closing her eyes and putting her head back on the wall. "Please? I can't live a different life like you can, I don't care about in public I just.. care about our names."

Of course, Layka thought. She is not like I am.. Haruka just sighed again, hiding her face in her hands and shaking her head. "At least we have gotten away from the cult.." She said, glancing up at Haruka again. In spite of her mood, the corners of her mouth twitched up, and she sighed to herself. "A cramped apartment, however.. It is not ideal."

"I've lived in worse.." Haruka sighed, softly chuckling and shaking her head again.

Layka paused, stepping forward and wrapping her arms around Haruka. "I apologise, dear.." She sighed to herself, running her fingers through her hair. "I love you, Haruka. That will not change.. you are not Rose." She always had to give in to her girlfriend-- that was just the way things were for Layka. "It is just.. I have never run away with someone."

Haruka shook her head. "But I couldn't let you go." She cracked a smile, running her fingers through Layka's hair and pulling away after a moment. "I don't care where we are or what we go by. As long as.. we can be together, you know. I'm fine with it." She was still homesick, though.. but she couldn't just abandon her girlfriend.

"Perhaps one day we will go back."

Haruka nodded, uneasy at the subtle mention of life back home. "Right.. one day."
