Eric looked into my eyes, and knew exactly what I was doing. He adjusted himself, before speaking." You'll be paid $15.99 an hour to work the bar, you'll also have control of Tru Blood ordering." The way he talked all work like, it made me excited. I know this is the blood talking, but my god was he delicious.
"And that's all?" I asked biting my lower lip. Eric sat back into his chair. He looked down at my body again, giving it a satisfied gaze. I liked the way he looks at me. I have explained before that I don't like the way men look at me, or the cat calls. But I couldn't help but want him to stare more. I pulled myself away from the desk, and sat back into my chair." I want $17 an hour." I said giving him a stern look." Well you're greedy" he said pulling out a piece of paper from his desk, and a pen." Well, you wanted this side of me. Am I wrong?" Eric wrote on the paper, then looked to me." I can handle the bar by myself, unless you want Ginger there also." He continued to write onto the paper." And I want more of your blood" I said bluntly. Eric froze. I knew I caught him off guard, but I wasn't lying. I'm not a V addict whatsoever. But if I'm going to be working night shifts here, I at least want to go home with a few dreams to look forward to.
Eric looked over to me, with a bit of shock to his face." Me giving you my blood, was to save your life Cassandra. Not for you to be feeding off me whenever you please." He said with a stern tone. That was understandable. I'm practically signing my nights away to this place, why would he have such a big grudge about me having more?" Listen, Eric I didn't mean-" "No you listen to me" he interrupted. He stood to his feet, and made his way back to me. Eric stood inches away from me, which worried me. I now know, I'm in deep shit." I am not your drug bag. I fed you my blood to keep you from dying, not for you to become a V addict, do you understand me?" My heart was beating so hard, it was about to beat out of my chest. I looked to his feet, and slowly up his body. I looked up, meeting his eyes." Yes, I do understand."
I stood up from my chair, my body only centimeters away from his." Your blood, once every two weeks." I know with how close we were, my cheeks were bright red." If you want me to work here, bring you more money than you can even imagine. Then that's my one condition, Mr. Eric, Northman."
"This is non negotiable, Cassandra" Eric said, before turning around to return to his seat. His blood is the only thing that's been helping keep my Mother off of my mind. It's been making me more energetic, more happy. I know I sound like an addict, but trust me I'm far from that. Since my Mother died, I've been feeling so empty, closed in, I'm not who I used to be. I want to be me again, just for a little while." I'll let you feed from me" I said abruptly. Eric stopped in his tracks. He looked over his shoulder, with an interested look to his face." Every two weeks" I continued." I'll let you bite me. And in return, you give me your blood." Eric chuckled. He turned to me, with his hands behind his back." If I choose to work here, I'll let you bite me before my first shift."
"What happened to not taking biting, kindly?" He asked with open ears." I have many reasons to wanting your blood, those reasons I would not like to share at this time" I responded crossing my arms. It was silent for a moment. I know what I'm getting myself into, if I do work here. I know I took him off guard by asking this of him, but he wanted this side of me. I'm not this type of person, I hate to be. I love to be a warming person, but change? Change sounded better, than pretending to be okay. I kept my eyes locked to his, he knows I mean it." You start Saturday night" he said bluntly. Relief washed over me. I felt my phone start to buzz from my bra. I pulled it out, and flipped it open. Six missed calls from Sookie, ten text messages from Sookie. She knew something was up.
A smirk drew across my face in satisfaction. This was going to be exciting.
