There are people in this world, and God has made them all with love in their hearts. There lives no person, who can claim that they can never fall in love with someone else. Such is the might of God, that no human can defy. Yes, sometimes, a person falls in love with difficulty, while most fall in love with ease. But do not think that the ones who fall in love with difficulty are cold hearted, they are just wise, wise enough to not foolishly call someone the love of their lives when they have only know the other for only some time. Falling in TRUE love takes time, and it gives pain, before, and after, but the fruit is sweet, yes. The fruit of true love is sweet. There was a Prince, a mighty, far-sighted commander, a brave warrior, just, loving, honest. His empire covered half the earth and his influence also lay on the other half. Those who were his allies, loved him deeply. His foes however trembled if the name was mentioned in their halls.

The Prince was a wise man. Spoke only when spoken to, ordered only when necessary, otherwise, even though he was the Prince, next in line to get the Sultanate, he always ASKED his followers to do whatever he desired. He was loved by all, respected widely, and God had granted him beauty, enough beauty that there lived few women who could dismiss his charm. The Prince however, did not desire women, he did not desire his beauty either, and for long, he remained untouched by the claws of love.

But then, God sent to him a girl, a young girl whose beauty paralleled to the Prince's charm, and all who saw them both together called them the perfect match. Though the girl had fallen deeply in love with the Prince, the Prince however steadied himself, but his heart had been dazed by her beauty too. For long, he neglected the love, desiring to wring it out of his heart, for he feared that love would make him vulnerable to his enemies, and careless to his subjects. The girl went through torture for she loved him and felt like he loved her not, and she questioned her beauty, for though she did not brag about it, she knew that her beauty was great too. The Prince longed nothing but the girl's presence as time went by, and soon, he gave in to his love, and he loved the girl deeply. For people who have not fallen in love with ease, the love that they DO proclaim, it is with honesty and truly strong. Time went by and the Sultan decided to marry his heir to his beloved.

But alas! the fateful day when his foes realised about his true love, and they kidnapped the girl before her wedding day. The news spread across the magnificent city that was called "The Silver City", people yelled that they had abducted their jewel. The Prince looked at the ground and then at the sky, lost in thought.

The warriors yelled "Order us Prince! So that we set hot steel to their flesh!"

And the archers yelled "Order us Prince! So let hell break loose on them"

And the Prince smiled proudly and unsheathed his sword. He raised it high and gathered his men. And he set off after the people who had done a cowardly act. They followed the tracks that were left by his foes, and the Prince followed them, swift as the flowing river. Soon he reached an open area in the forest where his enemies camped, thinking that they were hidden. The Prince signalled his men to surround them. The archers rushed, quiet as mice and soon surrounded the cowards. The Prince then saw his beloved, tied to a tree, with scattered hair and a fierce look.

Just then, a man luxuriously dressed in armor, who was probably the commander of the men approached the girl. He spoke to her but the Prince could hear them not. But to his horror and pure rage, the man placed his hand on her cheek and stroke the hair out of her face, but the girl was fierce and she spat in his face. The man, rage-struck, slapped the girl hard and then he grabbed her waist so to stain her body too. Just then an arrow flew and passed through his filthy neck, and indeed the Prince had struck so well that the man fell there and died.

Then the arrows of the Prince's men raged like a storm and his foes began to drop dead to the ground in great numbers. Within minutes, all the cowardly scoundrels lay dead and the Prince untied his beloved. He brought her into the safety of his men and they all held out their shields. Then suddenly they all heard sounds of battle all around them, and the Prince smiled, for he was not a common commander, and when he saw the tracks lying so openly, he knew that he was being led into a trap. So before engaging with the camping men, the Prince hid his swordsmen in the bushes and archers in the trees, and when the second troop came to kill the Prince, they were trapped in the Prince's rage.

When the second attack by his foes resulted a failure, his men came to him proudly and their swords gleamed in delight. Then, a dagger flew and the Prince dodged in the last second. But there was no sound of a dagger hitting anything solid. The sound that stung his ears was the sound of metal striking flesh. "Mustafa..." His beloved whispered weakly and to his great horror, a dagger stuck to her belly and dark blood stained her clothes...

The guards rushed to kill the man who, in his last despair, aimed to strike the Prince's neck, but missed and struck his heart insteadThe Prince looked at his beloved in horror and could not believe his eyes. A pain rose inside his chest, a pain he had never felt from battle wounds or burns. He knelt beside her and held her close.

She whispered to him "You are the only thing that I ever sought. And I have you. Farewell my love, my dear, dear love."

"No, no, don't leave me now, don't leave me like this, come back to me." But he watched helplessly as the life drained from her and she whispered his name one last time, before her eyes held not his face, but stars.

The Prince wept without shame and his companions wept along him. He wept for his deared loved one, who would be his wife the next day, Ah fate!

He looked at his companions and said

"Pity me not, O friends of mine! I am the husband of a martyr. But I cry because my heart cannot face her beauty, how could one die looking so beautiful? Does death not make you cold? And fearful? Why do I love her more? I have put out huge fires of war, but how do I put out this fire that rages inside my heart? Oh God, truly you are the greatest!"

They took her back and buried her. the Prince felt like he buried himself. For truly he had fallen deeply, and greatly he feared love. But when his beloved wife, who he could not marry, left him as a martyr, Mustafa Khan knew that he would Never fall in love, till his death.
