Confrontation with a hint of heartbreak

"Goshiki!"

Your legs freeze at your spot while your eyes wander between the two males.

"I'll leave you two alone for now. Don't be late." With that said Shirabu walks away silently. Goshiki and you patiently wait for him to get to a place where he can't overhear you. As he goes behind a corner, seemingly far away, Goshiki sighs.

An awkward silence fills the air, as if you have never met each other.

"So, what are you doing here Goshiki-san?"

He jumps slightly at the sudden usage of honorific.

'So it's san, now..'

"Shirabu said you wanted to talk to me..."

"Goshiki-san, I-"

You walk closer to him and give him a deep hug. At first he wants to hug you back, but he grasps onto reality and his own logic makes him push you away.

"Just say what you want, I need to hurry to my dorm."

"I-I'm sorry, Goshiki..."

"For what?"

He escapes your gaze by looking away to his right, where cozy lanterns are lighting up the early morning. If it wouldn't be for the circumstances he would've thought it's romantic.

"Goshiki-san, I'm sorry for not.."

That's when you realise, you don't really know what you did wrong. You know he had caught a liking for you, but it's unusual of him to just push you away like this.

"Goshiki, what did I do wrong?"

"..."

His hands are trembling as he uncomfortably fiddles with them; his head tilted downwards, looking at his long fingers. He shudders and looks at you.

"I, don't think you did it on purpose... I just miss you."

Dude what the fuck? So he did all this because he 'missed' me? Bruh.

"Oh. Why were you so dramatic about it then?"

"I- Uh- So-" He lays his hand behind his neck while stuttering. He did not expect this at all, he didn't even know what happened. Or happens, by any means.

I didn't even say to Shirabu that I wanted to talk to Goshiki like this. Why am I here?

"Goshi- Can I just call you Tsutomu?"

"Y-yeah"

"You don't seem too well, I know I haven't hung out with you that much and I'm sorry. But you didn't have to overreact like this, just text me back instead. How do you expect me to continue be with you if you ignore my texts?"

Goshiki's POV

Well I don't know it felt good to be dramatic because I liked the feeling of not chasing after others. Though I won't tell her that, of course.

"Woah woah woah- Tsu, breathe..."

Of course she's the one comforting me. She's so nice. I'll just have to forget about my feelings, right?

"Of course I'll forgive you, to be honest I have no idea what's going on but pretend that nothing happened because we won't gain anything from it. So now, let's go to class!"
