𝐖𝐀𝐋𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐎𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐆𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐓 𝐇𝐀𝐋𝐋 I feel absolutely stunning. I turn the corner, seeing Michael there waiting for me. He eyes me up and down. "Merlin's beard." I giggle, "Like what you see?" He grabs my hand and spins me around, looking at me from all angles. "Like? I fucking love it." He holds out his arm, "My lady?" I roll my eyes at him, but a smile never leaves my face. "Thank you, kind sir." We enter the great hall, there's classical music playing, students and teachers are slow dancing in the middle. "I'll give you the choice, get something to drink first or dance?"
We glide down the dancefloor in surprising ease as Michael guides me. This night is actually starting out okay, of course the ball is just the beginning of the evening. We have an afterparty planned in the room of requirement, of course.
He pulls me closer as the song slows down, I rest my head on his chest. His arm is resting on my back, pressing against it softly like he's trying to keep me by his side. I close my eyes for a second, taking it all in. Then I open my eyes and look over at the drinks and immediately spot who I coincidentally hadn't seen all evening.
Draco and Serena were both sat on some plush chairs, he was staring straight at me. His silver eyes keeping a watch on my body. He isn't listening to a word Serena's saying, which looks rather funny to be honest. She was getting all worked up about it as well, I could look at that for hours. She's probably bummed out about not dancing, which I definitely understand. It's the Christmas ball for heaven's sake, if you don't dance then what the hell are you doing?
"Do you want something to drink?" Michael asks me as we walk towards the seating area. We've decided to take a quick break from dancing, "Yes please! If you can find some way to add alcohol to it, I will love you forever." He walks away laughing. "I'll keep you to that Emilia."
I look at the dancefloor to see Lydia and Theo there. Slow dancing and looking cute as hell. Their matching outfits are subtle but noticeable and I must say Lydia looks incredible. My gaze switches to where I saw Draco and little miss perfect last. But weirdly enough, she's sitting alone. How very odd.
"Don't you look inviting." I hear someone whisper in my ear, knowing well enough who it is. "Yeah, Michael has really been enjoying it." I turn around to face Draco. A playful smirk dancing on my lips. "What's your deal Em? You didn't want anything serious with me but with Michael it isn't a problem?" I scoff, "Jealous, are we?" I can see his frustration grow and grow. "Maybe, you're driving me mad. Rubbing it in my face and all."
I give him a confused look, "What did I rub in your face exactly?" He crosses his arms, "Well-" He pauses for a brief moment, "You-" Another pause. "I-"
"Shove off Draco, me and Michael aren't serious or anything. In case you thought so." The frustration in his eyes is growing, "Too bad. If it was, I could've persuaded you to be with me instead."
"Is he bothering you Emilia?" I look up to see Michael approaching, a stern look on his face. I stand up and join him by his side, he hands me a drink. "Thank you, love." He wraps his arm around my waist. "Need anything else Malfoy?" His angry tone gives me butterflies, I love an angry man.
Draco gives Michael a dirty look, "I'm okay, for now." Dear god, this is hot. Can't they both rail me? I wouldn't mind at all.
"Come Emilia, let's get back to the dancefloor."
They hired a rock band to play, giving us a chance to let loose. I take big swigs of my drink, not really feeling any effect of the little amount of alcohol in there. He grabs my hand as we dance together, not caring about anything around us. Just having fun.
"Thank you, Hogwarts! Goodnight!" The band finished playing their last song, we cheer as they leave the stage. He turns to me, wrapping his arms around me. "You planning to go to the afterparty?" I nod, looking up at him as he brushes a strand of hair out of my face. "I do need to change first." I say quickly, he nods "Yeah sure, I'll walk you to your common room."
We walk to the Slytherin common room together, I tell him to wait outside and quickly head to my dorm, changing into a tight gold cocktail dress. I grab a little purse and add my cigarettes and weed to it. After retouching my makeup, I walk back into the common room. Serena is standing with her back to me," Had a fun night?" I say, she turns around quickly, I cross my arms and smirk at her. She gasps as she sees me, her eyes flaring with anger. "You! You lied to me!"
"Boo-freaking-hoo. Get used to it little one." I want to walk away from her, but she marches up to me, "You're just jealous of me." I laugh loudly, "Oh please, have fun with my sloppy seconds all you want. Now if you'll excuse me. There's an afterparty which I'm dying to get to. But I bet you're just staying in aren't you little one?" She sputters, "I- I-"
"That's what I thought, bye bye now." I walk away from her, laughing softly. What a child.
