"We were thinking Prague first, for about two weeks. After that we'll head to Paris." Lydia sips on a glass of white wine as we're sitting down in the drawing room. "That sounds amazing."
She and Blaise have decided on going on a long trip through Europe for the upcoming year. Whereas I'll start with my new job and Draco and I are searching for a place together. "When are you going to start at the ministry?"
"I'll start in a month at the Wizengamot Administration office."
"You're literally starting so high already." She says, slightly surprised. "I worked hard for it; I wouldn't want it any other way."
"Don't you and Draco want to come along? Since he's not going to get a job." I chuckle, "Why would I need to work, I've got plenty of family money. I'll just invest my riches!" I try and intimidate Draco, holding my head up high and scrunching my nose.
She laughs loudly, "But yes, I would love to. I'll have to ask Draco but considering he spends most of his days reading I think it won't be a problem."
She claps her hands in excitement, "Thank merlin, I absolutely love not having to worry about classes anymore, but I really miss you." She pouts her lip.
"I know, it's so lonely here. My parents are both at work most of the time. I actually miss our dorm." She nods in agreement, "Me too."
"Once Draco and I have found a place you'll have to come over every day." She laughs softly, "How about weekly dinners, that sounds a bit more doable."
-
"I think I found something, it's an adorable cottage!" Draco's brows furrow, "A cottage? Are you fucking kidding me?"
We're sitting in the drawing room of the Malfoy manor. Waiting for dinner to served.
"It's nice and cosy."
"I don't want to live in something nice and cosy. I want to show everyone that we're the two richest pureblood families." Draco says, scrunching up his nose in disgust.
"We just graduated; we can't afford a fucking manor." He walks over to me wrapping his arms around my waist. "We can always ask our parents for a loan."
"You know I don't want to Draco." He kisses my neck softly, "But I don't want to live in a small cottage." He whispers in my ear.
I lean my head back against his chest. "You're horrible, you know that right?" He chuckles softly as he continues pressing kisses down my neck.
"Lydia and Blaise have asked us to come with them for a while. I have to start at the ministry in a month, so we'll be able to go along to Prague and Paris. If you're up for it."
He digs his hands into my side, humming softly. "Paris, the city of love." I turn around to face him, I rest my forehead against his. "How romantic."
"We can ask my father for a loan during dinner."
I roll my eyes as I take a step away from him, "Less romantic. Draco, I really don't want to ask for money. We can just get a small house without any problems."
He sits down on a chair, resting his head in his hand. "I don't want to live in a fucking cottage." He grits through his teeth; I look into his eyes as he gives me an angry glare.
"Fine, we won't live in a fucking cottage. But we can easily live in a normal house, we'll work our way up to a manor." I say, throwing my hands up in defeat. Annoyed at his stubbornness.
"You'll need to convince me later on." He says, giving me a dangerous smirk across the room. "Draco, your parents are in the other room behave yourself."
He stands up and walks towards me, my breath hitches in my throat as his eyes are dangerously dark. He pushes a strand of hair out of my face, grabbing my cheek firmly. "Behave myself? You never liked that before."
"We're adults now, we have responsibilities. And personally, I don't want your parents to walk in on us."
He trails his hand down to my neck, grasping it tightly. I can feel his rings digging into my skin as I tilt my head back. He quickly attaches his lips to my jaw, nibbling on my skin as I try to hold myself back from moaning loudly.
He moves up his hand and grasps my chin, putting his thumb on my bottom lip. Parting my mouth slightly whilst sliding down it with his thumb. "The things I could do to you right now."
I trail my hands up and down his chest, "What would you do?" I coo at him, teasing him as I tug on the hem of his shirt. Slightly tickling his lower belly.
"I'll tease you for an entire night until you agree to a loan." He mumbles softly, I give him an angry glare. "Two can play at that game Draco, and we both know I can probably last longer."
His hands roam my entire body, moving down to my arse and giving it a squeeze before moving down and softly tracing his hands down my pussy.
Even though I am wearing pants the light fabric doesn't help me a lot.
"Draco, Emilia, dinner's ready!" We hear from afar; Draco quickly takes a step back as I let out a content sigh. "We're not asking them Draco."
He smiles as he grabs my hand. "Not yet."
I shake my head at him in distaste, "No, not ever." He rolls his eyes; we walk into the grand dining room. "We'll see about that." He whispers into my ear.
We sit down at the large dining table, there's an absolute feast on the table and I have to refrain myself from drooling.
Lucius raises his hand and claps two times and the dinner is magically placed on our plates. Something of everything.
"Did you two find a house yet?" Lucius says coldly, "No father, we're still looking." Draco responds quickly, "Don't forget to get something grand, we'll gladly give you one of our house elves."
I give him a fake smile, "Thank you Lucius but I think we'll be fine without a house elf."
Draco looks at me with his eyebrows raised, "We're not getting an elf?" I shrug, "Why should we? It's just the two of us, we're perfectly capable of doing our own laundry and dishes."
I look up to see Lucius staring at me as if I've gone mad. "Is it such a radical idea to not get a house elf?" I say with a chuckle, trying to lighten the mood.
"I think it's admirable. I could have never lived without it." Narcissa says with a dazzling smile, "It certainly is... strange." Lucius says softly, glaring at me.
"So, we'll probably join Blaise and Lydia on their trip to Europe for a while." Draco says, breaking the house elf tension. Narcissa immediately goes along with him, indulging in his story.
Lucius however is still staring at me with a not so pleasant look. All I did was say that I didn't want a house elf.
Is that really such a big deal?
(Sooo, sorry this took a little bit longer. I'm already working on the epilogue since I've had that idea in my mind ever since I started this book and I can't believe it's almost there. Just about ten more chapters and we'll be done! Anyways, I hope you. enjoyed this chapter, don't forget to comment and vote :)
