People just don't know
They're always doing wrong
I want to save their lives
But instead I play along
Don't know what I'm doing
Can't get out of this rut
My mind it keeps on blanking
Can't open the door that's shut
Trying to get in
Hoping they'll get out
Wanting to be free
Quenching my worst doubt
That humanity is lost
That people can't do right
That I can't stop the pain
That I can't be a light
A light in the darkness
A candle set aflame
A fire burning brightly
Blazing with Your Name
Help them see the truth
Help them learn the way
Help them feel Your love
Don't let them slip away.
