Tyler.

I sat in church as my father preached about little kids and rebellion. I felt like this was targeted towards me but I didn't care. I don't get to do anything. I have a bed time, I can't talk to any boys and what's worse I have to wear these ugly ass long skirts. I'm 17 about to turn 18 in two months. I hope my father is ready because all hell is going to break loose.

After the sermon, I waited for my mom and dad to get done talking to this women.

"Pst." I heard. I looked up and seen my only friend, Cameron. My parents absolutely dislikes her. She's the total opposite of what my parents vision what a Christian should look and act like. I walked towards her and smiled. We've been best friends since forever.

"Hey bae. Why wasn't you here today?" I asked hugging her.

"My mom got sick so I had to take care of here." I nodded. Her mom has cancer and sometimes it's a good day sometimes it's a bad.

"Well what are you doing here now?" I asked confused.

"Since your parents took your phone, I had to come here to tell you that we've been invited to a college party." she squealed. Some people started looking at us which made me pull her to the side.

"What do you mean we?" I rose my eye brow.

"Me and you. Cameron and Tyler." she smiled.

I shook my head. "how did you get invited?"

"Well you know that guy I was telling you about?" She asked. I nodded.

"Well he's in colleges and he's throwing this big party tonight and invited me. I asked if you could come and he said yes." she jumped up and down clapping.

"Cameron you know damn well I can't go to no party. Let alone a college one." I semi yelled. What part of "Pastor's kid" doesn't she get?

"Tyler can you please live a little? You're almost 18 still living that 5 years old life. It was cute when we were young but now it's got to stop. You're still wearing ruffle socks, plaid dresses and pig tails. What the fuck man?" She explained.

She was right. I need to live a little.

"Ok I'll go." I smiled. She hugged me and gave me the details.

"Ask your sister Ronnie for some clothes because I'd be damn if you go to the party looking like that." she said causing us to laugh.

Someone cleared their throat causing us to turn around. There stood my dad with his eye brow raised.

"Hello pastor Jacobs." Cameron said sounding proper. I giggled a little. She scared of my dad but then again everyone is.

"Hello cameron. How is your mother?" He asked. Like he cares though.

"She's fine sir all by the grace of God." she said licking her lips. She does that when she nervous.

"Praise the lord. Well Tyler say goodbye to Cameron." He said walking to the car. I looked at Cameron and chuckled.

"Yo, legit your dad scares me." she said.

"I know." I smiled hugging her. I ran to the car and got in.

"Tyler I'm telling you she is a bad seed." He said pulling off.

"Dad drop it ok." I rolled my eyes looking out the window.

"I'll pray for her."

And why you at it pray for yourself.
