At Scott's House

"He literally vanished into thin air" Scott said finishing the description of the previous incident.

"You said he had claws and glowing eyes" Deaton asked while typing that into the virtual bestiary on Chris's computer.

"Guys, ill take a round of the local library and our school library if possible" Isaac said, "Do you guys want anything to eat?"

"Nah we are fine" Stiles said, "hey could you say hi to liam for us though?"

"Yeah" Isaac said and took his helmet to leave.

"Ill come with you" Malia said, "I need a cheeseburger"

"I need to run some errands." Chris said.

And they left.

"So about the Kirin," Deaton said taking out an old book from his bag, which almost looked like it was a hundred years old. It had a brown leathery cover. Its pages were torn from the corners and it smelt like it hadn't been removed from a long time, "Its popularly known as Quilin. Its also called as a Kirin but in Japanese. It is a hooved creature known in Chinese and other East Asian cultures, which is said to appear with the imminent arrival or passing of a sage or illustrious ruler. It appears as a one horned beast" 

"So you said it appears when a great sage or king dies, so recently has any king or sage died?" Derek said. 

"One more thing, you said it appears before or after the death or arrival. Who else is related to death? Lydia or rather Banshees" Stiles said. 

"Even hellhounds" Scott said. 

"But ultimately it all revolves around death, so this could be a lead" Stiles said. 

"Yes, Stiles is right. This could be a lead" Deaton said, "Mind you, the quilin is perceived in different forms. And they are also considered as pets to the deities."

"Any information on how they attack?" Derek asked going through another book from Deaton's bag.

"Its like a horse, or rather a unicorn so its attacks are basically swinging its horn and bucking its hind legs. And if it gets angry, it gets charged up with electricity." deaton said reading from the book.

"From where did you get that book?" Stiles said.

"I had it in one of my cupboards" Deaton replied.

"So you took a detour from the hospital?" Stiles asked.

"Yes" Deaton said.

"I guess I have an idea of what Riley might be" Derek said looking at Deaton.

Everyone looked at Derek.

"A Pukwudgie" He said smiling as the name sounded funny.

"A what?" Scott said looking confused.

"Like from the Harry Potter movies?" Stiles said laughing, "Do they even exist in real life?"

"Yes they do" Deaton said, "Its a human like creature, like about 2 to 3ft tall, and it is from the Delaware folklores"

"But Riley is Stiles's height and he had claws and fangs too" Scott mentioned.

"He might be a Were - pukwugdie" Derek said, "like a chimera or by birth"

"So they can disappear and do magic?" Scott said. 

"Yes, they existed a long time ago in Beacon Hills, but they got extinct" Deaton said. 

"So now we have two new creatures to us, and we have to kill both of them before they do any harm" Stiles said.
