Chapter Ten

{Day 5, Friday}

The girls were shocked when they found out that the janitor was the mysterious guy all along.
He took out a bloody knife that was hiding in his pocket behind him and he spoke to them, "Let's have fun, shall we?"

Tash and Victoria did not hesitate to run for their lives. They both ran away from him as fast as they could while being chased by the killer around the school.
"Run! Run you filthy rats!!" The janitor shouted while laughing like a psychopath,
"You can run, but you cannot hide from me!"

They stopped for a moment to catch their breaths. Tash felt her heart racing as she gasped for air.
"I think we lost him." Victoria panted.

They looked behind them and saw no one. What a relief! The girls felt relieved and sat down on the cold floor.
Tash whispered to her friend, "I'm tired, I want to go home and see my parents."

Then all of a sudden, she heard a man's voice. It was probably the janitor. Tash saw him appeared behind her friend's back holding a blunt object, preparing to hit Victoria.
"No one's going home, kids."

Tash shouted while pointing at the janitor, "WATCH OUT!!"

When Victoria was about to turn around and react, the killer hit her hard.
"Thud!"
She fell on the floor unconscious.

Tash was very terrified of what she just witnessed that she couldn't move her body. She trembled in fear while tears started to fall from brown her eyes. She couldn't do anything to save her only friend, all she did was watch her get hit so hard that she fell unconscious.
Tash shouted at the janitor, "What do you want from us?!? Why are you doing this?! What did we even do to you?!"

The janitor went closer to her and kneeled down.
"Well..." he spoke and thought, "You killed my daughter, Julia. Therefore, you're gonna face consequences."

He pulled her hair making Tash groan in pain. "It hurts!! I-I'm sorry!! Forgive me! Please!"

The man didn't replied, instead he just stared at her blankly while pulling her hair.
"You have a very thin body, you're all skin and bones! I don't get why he chosed you."

Tash didn't know what he was saying, but it's true that she was thin. What was he trying to say? She's completely clueless, but what Tash was sure of was that it's going to be the end for her and her friend Victoria.

She desperately told the janitor, "Please...Let me go.."

The janitor gave her a smirk and answered, "There's no way I can let you go, you're the chosen one after all."

"Mr. Janitor...Please...I am begging you." Tash begged while she shed in tears.

"I'm the school principal, not a janitor." The man chuckled,

"Don't worry, your death will be very special, unlike the others."

After the man spoke, he hit Tash with a blunt object too. She fell unconscious and saw nothing but endless darkness afterwards.

"Tash. Tash."
She heard someone's voice, but it was so faint that she could barely recognize it.

"Please, help us." She could hear 3, no...5 random voices whispering in her ears. They were desperately begging for her help.

Tash asked them, "Who are you?"

The voices responded, "Kill him. Kill him. Kill him."

Tash could hear nothing but the voices saying to kill someone, they kept whispering over and over again until the voices got louder and louder.

Who were they? Who were they referring to? Was it the principal?

Tash slowly opened her eyes and found herself trapped in a cell. She got up, and looked around. The door was locked and Victoria was not there with her.

She touched her head and groaned. "My head..." She realized that her head was bleeding because the principal hit her with a blunt object. How cruel.

"Victoria.." she got worried about her friend. She looked outside and saw no one but dead bodies piled up.

"Am I inside the private room?" She thought to herself. It seemed that the killer put her inside the room where she and her classmates were prohibited to enter before. She did not know that it was very big unlike the other rooms.

The smell of the dead rotting bodies surrounded the place, it smelled horrible that Tash could throw up in any second.

She looked to the left, and there she saw her former friend Julia. She was lying on the floor dead of course, and surrounded by flies.

She looked to the right and saw the keys hanging on a hook. She tried to reach it, but it did not worked. The keys were a little far away from her.

Tash looked around the cell to search for something that could help her get the keys and escape. She saw a stick on the corner, she picked it up and tried to get the keys.

The keys rattled as she kept poking it to fall down. She kept trying until the keys fell down and made a clinking noise.
"Clink, clink!"

"Damn it!!" She cursed.

The principal appeared, and saw Tash trying to escape.
"You're trying to escape right now? Too bad, you got caught."

Tash got pissed off, "Tsk. Where's Victoria?! What did you do to her?!"

"My, my. Is this how you respect someone older than you these days?" The principal responded, "She's still alive, there's nothing to worry about, dear."

"For now."
