Inner Core (Completed)

Chapter 10 *The Man In the Suit*

(Selene was chasing behind Reo and Sara right behind her. She didn't really know how Kaen got out without her hearing him, but she knew she had to get him or Reo will blame her for the whole thing. Reo got ahead some more and turned around the corner of the building before her. His core made him fast, but Sara was way behind. Selene used her wind to move Sara up some.)

Sara: "Thanks Selene."

Selene: "No problem. Now come on, we need to catch up."

(While she said this something caught her eye. It looked like a purple blur zoomed through the night, but she ignored it. She had bigger things to deal with. When she got around the corner with Sara, she saw a man in a black suit and a red tie. He had his arms behind his back, black slashes over his eyes, and black eyes with red pupils.)

Reo: "Selene, this guy's name is Kage. Apparently he's the ring leader of this whole thing."

Kage: "Well, I wouldn't say ring leader per say, but if you insist."

Selene: "What's his core?"

Reo: "I don't know. I don't think he's even used it yet."

Kage: "Well you two talk it out, while we carry on with what we're doing."

Reo: "We?"

(Just then a man landed right next to Kage. It was the shirtless man with the red and black messy spiky hair and the chained on face mask.)

Kage: "Is the doctor ok?"

(The man just nodded his head.)

Kage: "Good."

Reo: "You know this guy?"

Kage: "We're pretty much buddies. I call him The Destroyer because...well he destroys stuff."

Reo: "That's a pretty valid answer."

Kage: "He has multiple cores, but he wasn't born this way."

Selene: "Wait, are you-"

Kage: "Messing around with people's cores, no. I have people do that for me."

Reo: "What the hell?"

Selene: "Why?"

Kage: "Are we gonna talk, or are we gonna fight? Destroyer, take care of that doubled power cored chick, I got electro."

Selene: "How'd he know-?"

(Before she could finish Destroyer sprinted at Selene, but she used her wind to fly up in the air.)

Reo: "Sara, go get other heroes, we'll hold them off."

Sara: "Ok."

(Sara then ran off to go find help.)

Kage: "Ah, asking for help huh. Very unlike you Reo, have you finally discovered that you're just not quite as strong as you'd like to be."

Reo: "No, I'm really tough, but I'll have the other heroes do the stuff I don't wanna do, like scrape  you off the floor."

Kage: "Funny, but I won't be the one being scraped."

(As he says this a shadow slowly comes up through the ground behind him. It's all black, except for he eyes which are bright blood red.)

Reo: "W-what the hell?"

Kage: "Yes, very weird huh? A shadow demon, what is my power you may ask. Well you'll find out soon."

(Before Reo could say anything the shadow flew right to Reo, but luckily Reo deflected so the shadow only hit the blade.)

Kage: "Very fast Reo, but how long can you keep that speed."
