Keeping them up at night

Poppy and Branch had just gotten into bed together. "Is the baby asleep?" Poppy asked. "Yup. Just tucked her in." Branch said. "Good. Well, good night, Branch." Poppy said. "Good night, Poppy." Branch said. The two of them then fell asleep. However, that didn't last for long as a loud cry woke them up. Poppy sighed and rubbed her eyes. Branch groaned as he woke up. "What's wrong?" Branch asked. "I don't know. I'll go check on her." Poppy said. Poppy got out of bed and was gone for at least ten minutes. Poppy then came back. "It's fine. She just needed a diaper change." Poppy said. "Oh." Branch said. Poppy then got back into bed. "Good night." She said. "Night, Poppy." Branch said. The next time you woke them up it was twelve midnight. Poppy and Branch slowly woke up to hear you crying again. "What now?" Branch asked. "I'll go check." Poppy said. Poppy once again got out of bed and went to check on you. Poppy then came back in. "What was it this time?" Branch asked. "She was hungry." Poppy said. "Oh god." Branch sighed. Poppy chuckled, then got into bed again. A few hours later, your loud crying woke them up again. "Are you kidding me?" Branch asked. Poppy was about to get up again, but Branch stopped her. "You stay, Poppy. I'll go see what she needs this time." Branch said. "Are you sure?" Poppy asked. "Yeah, no worries. I got this." Branch said. Branch got out of bed and went to your sleeping room. He looked into the crib to see you crying. "Shh. There, there. You're okay." Branch said as he picked you up. He then began to gently rock you back and forth in his arms. You stopped crying and began to laugh a little. Branch smiled. Branch then put you back in the crib and began to walk away, until he heard you crying again. "For real?" Branch asked. Branch then went back to your room and picked you up again. You stopped crying once he picked you up. Branch sighed. "This is gonna be a long night." He said. Poppy waited for Branch for about thirty minutes. "What took you so long?" Poppy asked as he came back in. Branch sighed. "She wouldn't stop crying until I held her. And every time I put her back she would start crying again." Branch said. Poppy chuckled. Branch sighed and got in bed beside her. "Well, that's a baby for ya." Poppy said. "Yeah. They are hard work." Branch said. "Well, good night, Poppy." Branch said. "Night." Poppy said as she turned off the light. But just as she did, you began to cry again. "Oh come on!" Branch said. Poppy sighed and turned the light back on. "I'll go check on her this time." She said. Poppy then got out of bed and went to your room. "So much for sleeping." Branch said.
